Love

Love

[Entries now Closed]

Willy Wingfoot (91)

I see a couple walk hand-in-hand.
A little later;
I see the lady stab the man's heart.

I see a lover waiting beneath the window.
I walk by;
I see a drooling wolf waiting for its prey.

I see shrunken bloodless men fight.
I blink;
My TV says, its the parliament.

I see a zombie feeding on a baby.
Closer look;
It’s Mr. Bush at breakfast.

I see a boy help a women cross.
Well, I notice;
Her golden ring is now lost.

I see a man pay a poor fellow.
He proved his worth;
Now his wife's murder does look like an accident.

I titled my book-"Love-An human emotion"
On second thoughts;
I published them-"Love-Once an human emotion"

Me (141)

I'm in Love.

I'm in love. I'm sixteen. She was my everything.

My age. Pretty. Smart. Cute. My world started.

Stopped. Did a roll over. And tumbled around her.

We moved. Split. We moved on out of love.

I'm in love. I'm nineteen. She was almost everything.

Looked like the first one. Cute. Her world started.

Stopped. Did a roll over. And tumbled around me.

She crowded. I ran. She married her new love.

I'm in love. I'm twenty. We were everything.

Smart. Loving. Caring. Our world's started.

Stopped. Did a roll over. And tumbled around us.

We fight. We scream. We're running out of love.

I'm in love. I'm twenty three. She's amazing.

Caring. Loving. Angel. I wish the world started.

Stopped. Did a roll over. And tumbled just for us.

Together awesome. But we can't. Cheers to the love that could've been.

Infinite Love

I tripped over my heart; just fell. Like that. From over the bed. A warm squarely feeling was rapidly rising underneath my chest, right next to my heart. Stroking my senses with rabid sensations. I swam out of the room to find empty air, rich with your perfume and screaming silence, whispering your words. It delivered me to a strange land of…of something…something I can not define.

The breakfast lay on the table. The newspaper on the sofa. Everything was as it would have been. But nothing was as it should have been.

This morning I woke up to an empty house, numb senses and infinite love.

Shweta Srivastav (57)

Among the pretensions of this world,

In the clash of trifling vanities,

One and all pass by me distrait,

And as always I trail them as I wait,

For just one of them to recognise me

Not as an indulgence of the self

But in my true essence!!

And thus, I wait

Lost

Waiting to be found!

The pigeons upon that time seeming to undergo much suffering and insecurity, I determined upon giving them liberty. Most of them had been killed by the cat a night before. But the beautiful grey-mottled pigeon looked extremely uneasy and anxiously around, fluttering wings and making a loud cooing noise. All of them flew away, without giving me a last look. Freedom they preferred to captivated care. I wondered how insensitive they were.

But the grey-mottled appeared in the angana one day. He never actually did go. No more care from me and there he died. That was Love's foremost realization. I asked him dead on my palms, "I didn't worry for thee, and thou fool, fell in love with me?!"

CAN YOU LOVE ME, LIKE MY DOG DOES?

...if I,

shut you in the balcony
[mid winter]
the guests!
[spooked cats]

didn't make you dinner
[i'm not hungry]
your water bowl's dry
[oops didn't notice]

tied you to a short leash
[punishment's necessary]
you peed in the house
[so I forgot to walk you]
where's your sense?

didn't play with you
[i'm busy can't you see?]
Arghh!! don't DO that
[fur shows on black!]

No,

I wont throw you your stick!

…how callous am i…
how uncaring…

so why...

do you still run to me laughing,
tail wagging nonstop…
You love
a human who knows not,
real love.

Oh! you make me feel small,
sweet dog of mine…
we humans love those,
whos heads nod with ours.

Dok Saab (120)

Do you still love me?

Sure I do. Why do you ask?
After twenty years of our marriage!

Why don't I feel it now, Rajat?
Tell me, when was the last time you kissed me?
You brought roses for me. That was a long time back.
Did you notice I was wearing a new saree yesterday?
You don't even notice me. And you say you still love me.

Agreed, I gave more time to my job.
That doesn't mean my love for you waned.
I wanted to reach higher, earn more,
And give you more, Seema.

I will die yearning for your love.
What will you do then?
With all that money, will you
build a Taz in my memory?

Case: Laurie overheard her husband Andy, speaking to his close friend Maggie, "Its you my Love". (This line, in reality was Andy's suggestion to Maggie, of what she could right on her anniversary card, for her hubby.) Laurie took it otherwise and blamed God for this.

"Love….You are convicted with juvenile behavior. In Laurie vs. God, you had a night's fling with Ms Jealousy. This lead to the birth of Master Suspicion, who real caused a lot of damage."
"But what was Mr. Character, the guy in charge, doing? He should have managed this situation."
“Suspicion flourishes when Character’s weak. And per Rule 349999908 of God’s Act, it’s your duty to strengthen Character. Please resolve this case at the earliest.”

Richa Gupta (116)

Like a tidal wave they surged forward, there was no stopping them. Some came prepared, the others grabbed whatever they could find. As one they moved, without logic, without rationale. They wanted blood and they would not stop to ask or care why? Their voice rose in a deafening crescendo. They torched houses and broke the glasses of vehicles but that was not enough to quench their lust. And then they saw him, a cowering whimpering man trying to hide behind the wall of the burning house. He was theirs, the mad hunters had found a prey. They lunged and then moved on. Left behind was a writhing burning body…all for the LOVE of "their" God.

.....A camel was found on the NH 6 in jharkhand, it was severly injured as was hit by a car. It was surprising for everyone that how a camel came there. Later it was discovered that, marchents who were bringing it, deserted it on the way for unknown reason. The villagers got together and started throwing stones at the poor animal, fortunately he was rescued by some press photographer and good news is that he got good medical attention and recovering fast...May be his love brought him back to the world...

It was burning feeling; stream of blood was soaking the long legs. They say camels don't require water, but he felt thirsty now. Last 4 days there was very little rest, the monster which was carrying them scared him a lot. He remembered the race when Llakshmi challenged him to run faster than her, both of them were racing through the sand towards the horizons where they wanted to stop, when those devils caught him. He was happy as they spared Llakshmi, she was thin; Closing the eyes he could see her tearful eyes. The car hit him on the road when those people deserted him, he realized he is gonna die, but still he was happy, Lakshmi is alive.

The guy - "I love you"
**kneels down**
and oops
**farts**

the girl smiles - "I love you too"
tries hard...
and
**farts** back

that's LOVE, ain't it?

:p

love is not unselfish
love is not blind
love is not pure
love is not in words...

Love is Love

Hence, forget the adjectives,
and
Let there be Love!

Mickey the Monkey (120)

I think I am in Love, Sweta.

Why Monkey, how do you know its love?

Sweta, since the day I have seen her, I am feeling strange.
My heart beats faster these days.
When she comes to the window, my breathing becomes difficult.
I can't sleep the whole night. She is always there in my eyes.
I keep sitting on the mango tree in front of her house,
waiting for her to appear in the balcony.
Even the juiciest berries seem tasteless to me when she is not there.
Am I in love with Jane, Sweta?

Monkey, this is not love.
You are most probably having anaemia.
Come to my clinic tomorrow, we'll take some tests.
You'll be well soon.

Lifelong Jojo’s question was “Whats love?”

At six , Dadima answered “It makes the world go around” Jojo felt love meant warm comfort of Dadima’s lap.

At ten, Ma answered “Its togetherness”. Jojo felt care was love.

At twelve, sharing secrets, tiffins, notes with best friend, Jojo knew love was sharing.

At sixteen, seeing his sweetheart, Jojo felt love was his blushing face & flipflop of heart.

At twenty, his sweetheart left & Jojo felt love was only pain.

At twentyfive, a colleague remarked “Jojo’s in love with his job”. He thought obsession was love.

At thirty, after passionately embracing his bride, he asked “Is this love”. She giggled: “Mr.Handsome, lemme show whats love ”. Jojo was glad that love was blind, since the mirror told him he wasn’t near “handsome”.

At forty, distributing Christmas gifts in the orphanage, Jojo heard the presiding nun say “Love is compassion towards fellow humans”.

At fortyfive, Jojo’s child declared “Daddy you’re best”. He felt this awe & reverence was love.

At sixty, Jojo knew he’d felt, lived, given and received love. But still didn’t know what it really was.

Imagine love

Without mine and thine

Beyond, heart and mind

As a substance of dancing souls

Imagine love

Past, reason and charm

Ahead of, in's and out's,rise and falls

As a music vibrant to eye

Imagine love

Far away from wishes and desires

Moreover, forever and never

As a light apparent to ears

Imagine love

Inspite of, gloom and glee

Besides, expectation and dependancy

As an unmerited favor to be free

Imagine to spell love

Without 'U' and 'I'

Now without imagining

Experience

Love, only love...

This sun shines love

There’s sun shining down on her face
her eye twitches
the traces of a smile dance on dry lips
she knows I’m here
our love is 21 years old.

S-u-n-s-h-i-n-e! she says
not without difficulty
there’s pain
a lot of pain
but I laugh and sink
into her arms open wide…

I feel the shiver of blue veined fingers
with their single ring
on the back of my neck
and a kiss on my forehead.

The same biscuity sweater smell
labored breathing
the pain’s getting harder and I can’t swallow
and so the tears flow…

Sunshine lies buried
in her Origin’s embrace
her childhood seems to be slipping away.

And she feels her child’s pain
S-i-rr vih-tcch daa-rd hai-gaa?
Nahi ma, hun thik ho gaya!

She smiles and pinches my red nosetip
Her liquid eyes singing our song

And so I mutter a million times
Oh please don’t take
My Sunshine away…

dok saab: very YOU sir...i liked the last 2 lines...we work to save money, and for what?somethings r just more important than being 'practical'.
agnisen : v.innovative!probably and oft occurring instance as well.inner struggle presented lightly.nicely done.
richa G: v.painful,to read,to think abt,as i was forced to...i could see the writhing body...it was so well written...an awesome take on what love means to some ppl.
santonou: bit long eh?but...nevertheless,another lovely aspect of what love really is...how its different from infatuation.and camels...unusual.

@ Nandini... yes I think I'll overlook it..in the sense that, leave it to the voter's discretion, as far as voting is concerned! Usually the klashers dont seem to vote for overshooters haha.

The Konfessioners said...

Last day for voting is Sunday!

Mickey said...

@Nandini, & Konfessioner Singh
Thats unfair, rules should be framed before the fight. Had I known I can get away with any number of word, my take would have been different, I too would have written dil khol ke.
So its ok to publish the oversized klashes for the reads sake, but they should not be up for kontest.
If four people have overshot the limits, there are six who have painfully edited there takes to 120.

Willy Wingfoot said...

Fully Agreed,sir Ape!

My Komments (in multiple episodes) follows.

Willy Wingfoot –Willy, the situation is not as gloomy as you see. But nice take, you have made your point by writing about the absence of love.

Missy knows who you are but won’t disclose to us. Let me guess, (the Hint is an old klasher,) could it be as easy as SM or NM?? or a difficult one like Chaos, or more like Mandappa, whoever, how does it matter, what matters is that you have written a nice one :).

Dok Saab - I just loved your "limitless" writeup...its awesome.
And actually I gree with Mickey & Willy W...afterall its pretty taxing trying to fit your writeup in 120 words.....and it really calls for lots of ingenuity.
Yes, ppl exceeding the word limit can be read, but not actioned :-))

Ohhh so there goes my vote - thanks Sweta for voting (am honored)...but you'll have to choose a fitting candidate (its like taking the wicket in a no ball ;-))

just for simplicity-
a kind of interpretation of rules-
(i guess most of us would agree on this..)

-any writeup above words 120 is up for reading purpose..:)

-any klasher can vote for anyone irrespective of overlimit or withinlimit (natural law)..:)(such klasher who vote for 'overlimits' specially read next rule..:)

- a vote for an overlimit writup shall not be counted in making decision for the winner.

P.S.-Rules r subject to change without any previous notice..[:P]
-any litigation matter shall be in the jurisdiction of 'the konfessioners'.for further authentication of 'the rules' contact them..[:D]

Missy Baba said...

UFFFFF itni charcha!

Lets stick to the rules as we always do, I leave it to you still to vote for who YOU think fits the Klash frame! :) and essentially that requires the write up to be only 120 words. The rest indeed disqualify as klashes, but we're there anyway!

NonsSens said...

My komments & vote (exercising my right ;-)) -

Willy W - Potrayed the darker side of love really well. Loved the "Zombie feeding on a baby - Closer look - its Mr.Bush at breakfast". Well written...but it kind of ends hope. Is love really lost?

Me - Ohhh the vagaries of heart - you captured it really well. I liked your piece. "Love" really messes around with the heart.

Yuvraj - Wow. Very nice debut at Klash. Nice writeup. "Love is all Around"...you can almost smell it in your piece :-))

ShwetaS - Welcome, Welcome. Ummm - different thought-love in its purest form, being the most neglected emotion. Its great - maybe if you'd specified its love you are writing about, it would've been greater...I mean this could be fitted in for some other emotion too.

Kaveesh - Ohhh!! why is everyone writting more about the pain love causes. Yup I guess it goes hand in hand - love & pain. Quality stuff. Your piece brings out the fact that we lose a lot in love.

Coffee is .. - Great. Dogs really shower so much unconditional love & thats b'cos they think simply, straight from the heart. We humans complicate everything all the time...and lose out on pure joy of love. I really loved your potrayal.

Dok Saab - I wish we didn't have the word limit & you were able to post your other piece..Third Love. That was awesome. I liked this too - Its such an "all too fimiliar feeling". Only thing is that its a tad predictible (obviously b'cos its so fimiliar)

Agnisen - Just loved the ingenuity with which you presented the eternal struggle in love. Hmmm - my vote to you for presenting it in a differentt way.

Richa G - Very cerebral....makes you pause & think. Too much "love" becomes fanatical & scary. Grim & great potrayal of the darkest shade of love.

Santonu - Different & nice. Sacrifice is another avtaar of love. Strange na how animals & birds potray & give love so much more easily than complex humans.

Hummingnerd - Hahaha - atlast some humor in "love". Love indeed is blind....and as you said "love is love". Nice, light & airy.

Mickey - Hehehe. Ohhh its not your heart, its your blood. Liked your funny take. Love is a strong word - but its nice, light & funny too.....good that Humming & you brought that out.
(BTW, with anaemia treated - you could start loving Jane with greater josh :-))

GSV - Sweta is correct - this sounds more like a song. Hey GSV you are turning into a poet (or were you already one??). A nice, typical love poem. Nice to read....start setting music to it :-))

Konfessioner S - Ahhh another form of love. This is again something we've probably all experienced...one really wants to keep such moments captured forever (for posteriety). Very, very well potrayed - simple & nice.Nice - but word lmit stops me from voting for you.

My vote to Agnisen - for dishing up love in a different way.

CoffeisMP & Kaveesh come a close second.

Mickey said...

Lovely Sunny Morning ;)
Kontinuing with my Komments once again.
Thanks GSV for supporting us legally
Shweta Srivastav-- Hi Shweta, I have already welkomed you , or haven’t I. Nice and kute lil take, but kould not find the word in it, and you have misspelt clash , its written with a K here

Mickey said...

Kaveesh Bhai -- Its nice to know you support the cause of animals by wearing such undergarments.
We expected something different from you as promised, but this one touched the heart. Kaveesh Bhai, Pigeons, dogs, monkeys; we don’t have brains as evolved as you humans. We think with our hearts and fall in love with every caring touch.

Mickey said...

Coffeeismypoison -- Hi Dok, you write straight from your heart, I believe you had to do a lots of editing to limit your take to 120. Whenever you humans want to abuse a person you use our (animals) names,कुत्ते ,गधे,सुअर कि औलाद, उल्लू के पट्ठे, बन्दर, गिरगिट , and what not, but just give us a caring pat, and we become all yours.

Mickey said...

You are true, so many aspects of love remain untouched. I expected Dok Saab to write about various Philia's , and Kavish Bhai , about making Love.

Konfessioner Singh--DokSaab has too tried to write about his ailing Dadima in the past but yours is definitely more poetic. We wish your sun shine never fades.

Hawww...I guess I am taken to be some porn master here now...Oh!How i wish I stuck to my promise. Hehe..Seems people here were pretty anticipating an erotic take...Wheww! I was planning to write sumthin on the Durex Condoms Ad..which i guess has been the most erotic love portrayal. But considering the fact that we have legal honchos like GSV bhai and medical bigshots like Dr.Sweta and our very own Dok Saab..I dropped the idea. Thought it'd be too gross for a new klasher! But Alas!

Gimme one more chance and gimme one more word that fits in the category..n see what I do to klash! Hahahaa...Shinjini wud understand!

Yuvraj Jha said...

My first comment(s) and vote: "oh! i feel like captain james t. kerk. hehehehehe"...

@Willy Wingfoot-i simply love tht form of poerty, infact i have read something of the same partern...but yours was a different concept..mind blowing write...i wish i could write like tht types!!

@me - i am not yet 23, so may be say 21 and add 3 more paras and you have my life right there..hehehhe..;)i liked the part "she was almost everything"!!

@shweta srivastav - I could'nt picture the poem in context with love...please dnt mind...its amazing as a completely lost and unliked conflict kind of a poem. but love, didnt get tht..so sorry..jst being honest...though i like it..because of the feeling in it "For just one of them to recognise me,Not as an indulgence of the self,But in my true essence!!"...

@Kaveesh bhai- If you actualy read your write and then read the comments passed by people and their expectations...aah! wht dissapointment..hehhee..but amazing write...i liked the way you put it...the realisation is so powerful..hope its not an incident of your life. realy amazing...

@coffeeis..- "Oh! you make me feel small, sweet dog of mine…we humans love those, whos heads nod with ours...do i need to actualy comment after reading these lines..any comment would be futility at beautifing any further. please keep writing such poems.

@Dok Saab- Dok saab tht is a very moral thought...i think the world needs such a messege, especaily my grand father..hehe. why dont you get this published in a newspaper or something? or you already have?... B..E..A..Utiful!!!

@Aginsen - awite! now nice touch of charecter to...'we see the world in our own image'...though i think if you'd have changed your form of writing it would have become realy powerful, coz some of the power got lost in the lightness of it..though nice concept.

@Richa - the topic you are writing about couldnt have been more beautifuly portrayed...completely amazing write...keep up the controversial writes..hehehe..;)

@santanu - something realy different, a completely different approach to love...camels!! la, its damn nice yaar!! i felt the love of the camel when you say "Lakshmi is alive".

@ hummingbird - tht is so true...as in not the details but the messege..heehe..but i want to propose like tht atleast once in my life..i ll do it next time i have a crush..ehehe..and i ll tel you guys..if all goes like tht..hhheeehhe...realy funny..and true!!

@mickey - monkey are you seriously ill..ehhehe..charming write..(acting like dev anand)"lagta hai tumhein pyar ho gaya hai, aur pyar ke season ko sumer kehte hain".heehehhehe..simply amazing humour..

@nandini - haww. you had my vote only tht it exceeds the word limit...hehehe...this is absolute adorable write...dnt want to say anything and spoil it...bravo!!

@gsv - people have already told you how musical you are...and seriously you can make it into a song..infact i will try if you dnt mind..your words sound like they are coming out of some pre socratic philosopher.hehhe..;)

and now the most difficult part...i honestly loved all of the writes...and cant decide on which one to top the list...seriously!!! (i am so confused)...i think i ll give it to GSV, coz he has a lot of music. the rest of you, i apologise...hehe... waise apologies to myself as well..hehehhe...

Missy Baba said...

@Sweta, thank you so much for the vote..I had a lump in my throat when I wrote this too!! :)

@Mogli, where's the komment on my work!!!

@Mickey-- I loved Dok Saab's klash on his grandmother..it was super! I'm glad you liked mine too :)

Agnisen's komments---

Willy Wingfoot - Good takes. Last line was a killer. Maybe the topic, old parents being kicked out by their children couldve have been fit in this peice as well to make it more pertinent. Watsay?

Me - Great take. Everyone must have journeyed thru these pahses. Ok, maybe a dumb question but in the second para, what did you mean by "She was almost everything." Was it 'indecision'? Because, in all other paras, there's 'certainty'. Just a question to understand the piece better.

Yuvraj - Very good use of words. However again i just your perspective on using 'infinite love' in the last line.

Shweta Srivastav - Winner for me. A really great summing up. Beautiful use of words. 'In the clash of trifling vanities' & 'Not as an indulgence of the self' were killers & very pertinent to the theme.

Kaveesh Sinha - There are 'trifling vanities' in animals (hope no scientists here to prove me wrong ...hahaha). Their love is the ideal kind, and well potrayed here. But i know of humans, who havent received any reciprocation in their lives but have still lived on.....loving, caring, just giving....... without hope of reciprocation(or so i think!) ....a bit like the dog in Cofee's piece

Coffeeismypoison - Great work. Envious trait this, in animals. well potrayed.

Dok Saab - Very pertinent sir. Wonderful.

Richa Gupta - Good piece. Last line for me a bit debatable. These guys dont do it for love of 'their' God. They do it for 'love' of their God. General idea is that they do it in the name of love, but actually, they are systematically made devoid of the true meaning of love. What they actually are made to feel is HATE. And this HATE is defined and drilled into them as LOVE. Again just my feeling, from personal experience.

Santonu - Good piece. I say a bit long, because this idea could have probably be shortened into a 120 word piece.

Hummingnerd - Hilarious and yet a good one. All farts well, if it smells swell....haha.

Mickey the Monkey - Hilarious.

Nandini Sen - Fantastic. Really close one and unfortunately we cant have ties here, i presume. But its allowed, then you are a joint winner.

GSV (86) - Brilliant one. Again, tough call. Only one question or more needed understanding on the last 3 lines. Wanted to know what it signifies in connection to the piece.

Konfessioner Singh - Tendulkar scores yet another hundred. 'Her liquid eyes singing our song' was just oustanding. Love was somehow palpable in this piece such was the earnestness. But i'm tilted towards the Winner's piece coz it was a true & pertinent depiction of the theme (and also in much lesser words)

Yet, a psychiatrist(no noted scholar, but just sharing a controversial view) once told me that unbinding love between 2 individuals does have a foundation of insecurity & selfishness, thus not making it real love. He pointed out that a animals(the mother) love for her child is the most closest definition of love as there are no "conditions" at all.

My Komments -

Willy Wingfoot - This reminds me of Lily Allen's "LDN". Similar idea and the video is amazing too. Anyway, I might use this idea in future hahaha...I'm sure you won't mind :p Also watch her "Little things" video :)

YOU hahaha..I mean ME..whatever...ROFL..alright..Over the word limit..so wouldn't consider you for vote and I love the way the piece is structured. Very well written and careful use of words :)

Yuvraj hahaha I too was overwhelmed during my first Klash...it will sink in soon :) and "infinite" doesn't seem the right word..however, its the writer's wish and I know how everyone "loves" what they write :) I loved the analogy "WOULD" and "SHOULD"...very nice :)

Shweta Srivastav Similar idea as mine...and I should like it...hahaha...You could have used the word LOVE in the take...also the center alignment makes it all the more inviting to read :)

Kaveesh Sinha Boy..! hahaha...I'm waiting for your reply to shin. I too was humming the song for a week, after watching the movie..long time back :p

Koming back, the way you narrated the story to me, before, appealed more than this take...it might be because I know more..:)

Coffeeismypoison hahaha..Do you too love those, whose heads' nod with yours?? The take is a bit abstract and I do get the idea..however..I don't think a dog's love is unconditional :D If we take that theory it seems that you want someone to be a slave to you rather than love you..**In context to your take, no offense meant** :)

Dok Saab Ah! strange and very different are the needs of both the sexes. You favored the familiar notion in the last para...Why do men need to understand women and not the vice-versa..hahaha..I know it is a generalized theme and its very nice :)

Agnisen hahaha..when I read the lines in the (brackets,) I thought, you shouldn't have let the cat out so soon...but behold...lol...very kreative, however, "Character" didn't seem to be the write word..may be "faith" or "conviction" would have been great but it all depends on the writer..these are just my views :)

Richa Gupta aaarrggh.I sooo hate that. Brilliant!!!

Santonu I liked it. The word LOVE is there in the prologue but not in the take itself. Also, I would love to be in places where you have been. :)

Hummingnerd lol...I wrote many takes(check my blog)...I was in quite a good mood when I was writing. Wrote about everything except what I had wished to write about...hahaha..the "FALLING" in love theory!! :p

Mickey the Monkey hahaha...you shouldn't talk with "Doctors" about LOVE...lol...This gives me an idea--> probably, LOVE is a Medical Condition...hahaha..ROFL!

Nandini Sen You know I hate to see overflowing takes...and I'm being honest about it...:) However, this is WONDERFUL.. And, “It makes the world go around” didn't go with, "warm comfort of Dadima’s lap". But, I still feel you could have had a compressed(hahaha technical term, lol) version for the klash and the longer version on your blog :) The idea is portrayed very nicely!

GSV Wow..this is really different from your previous takes and beautifully written...Also, the returns after para's would have been good too! Very very nice :)

Konfessioner Singh Wow...sublime..adorable... :)

MY VOTE goes to Richa Gupta!! :)

NonsSens said...

GSV - I dont know how to play the trumpet...and least of all blow my own trumpet....but I do use it for introductions (hehehe - abhi bhi chance hai - bolo toh intro karwa doon aapka with her)

Kavish - C'mon, your takes are so consistently good (just a little away from best) that its always the "prince in waiting" scene for you....am sure you'll soon catapult into the rightful slot...of being the emperor.

Hummingnerd - You say Love is NOT blind...Love is just Love....but your piece potrays that the charm of love is that its blind.....actually thats how I read it.

Everyone else - thanks for your komments & "almost" voting for me. Considering the fact that I wrote it literally "on the run", I was actually taken aback that some of you liked it.....Thanks a lot guys.

Its easier to write for a klash than to komment upon. It becomes even more difficult if you are late in your comments, almost all good things are already said. But just for the records sake, here are mine.
Love was such a nice word, that I had expected all the klashers to join, even a few lines. I miss NM (he is in India these days), Sarang, Manan, TD, Priyanka, Free woman, G. Fake, Chaos and Summer. (Have I left any more). So many aspects of love remained untouched, and many wrote note about love, but absence of love.
1. Willy Wingfoot –
Your take reminds me of the Smirnoff’s ad, things look different when looked through the bottle of Vodka. It is more about deceit than love.
2. Me—(or is it You, Mandappa)
What you thought of as Love at the age of 16 to 23, was not Love. It was at the most an intimate friendship, or just infatuation. May be you’ll experience true love as you grow older.
3. Yuvraj –
Nice toughts, felt just like some Urdu poetry, straight from the heart.
4. Shweta Srivastav –
Waiting for it to happen, nice except you have to include the word in your klash.
5. Kaveesh Sinha –
Much has been said about your othertalents, this was another nice klash by you. One sided love or unconditional love, well that’s what is true love, without any expectation.
6. Coffeeismypoison –
Sweta, I have read your unedited version too on your Blog, see what Mickey meant by becoming a Shaagird of Shinjini Singh. She chopped off 25 words without taking away the essence of your klash. True love is blind, it does not matter for the lover how his beloved treats him. And you have brought this out beautifully.
7. Agnisen
Very creative, I remember your Klash on magic. Hope to see you more often.
8. Richa Gupta --
आपसे तो एक प्रेम गीत की उम्मीद थी , यह क्या द्वेष का राग छेड़ दिया ऋचा जी
9. Santonu –
You have written on real incidents in the past too. Nice take Santonu.
10. Hummingnerd –
Funny, wonder why Heart Rhymes with Fart.
11. Mickey the Monkey –
Leave Dr Sweta alone, Monkey. I know your Lot. I have handled kids all my life so I can handle monkeys too. And Love too is a sort of illness where one who gives the pain is the remedy too.
12. Nandini Sen –
Very creative take Nandini , One can not know the meaning of love in one lifetime. And thanks for appreciating my blog.
13. GSV –
Much has been said about you GSV, very lyrical take. Reminds me of a phrase,I love You as Q loves U
14. Konfessioner Singh—
You never disappoint your fans Miss Singh. And you always leave them wanting for more. This time at least I have an excuse for not voting for you.

My Vote to Coffeeismypoison

Missy Baba said...

Since the word this week is "love" I'll vote with my heart.. or the remnants of it haha.. My vote goes to Santonu Komments in bits...I'm occupied with this exam tomorrow, but I will komment.

Kaveesh said...

And here come the comments…
Willy Missed u loads for the last few klashes. Well this one is as great as all ur takes, much on a pessimistic stride though. I am the ‘love-is-shit’ kinda guy…generally. However I still feel, that it exists…exists between the butterfly and the pansy, the gold fish and the shark in my aquarium and still exists between my mom n dad. So was a lil upset to see a trodden state of love. Still u have done justice to ur stance. Gud one.
Me?? Klash is seriously turning a thrilling suspense these days. Well, what u have written is more of Infatuation seriously. Its true, its genuine, its so close to life. But most ov us know that its not love. But I loved the fact that u considered to touch upon this age group who generally is deceived by what he thinks is ‘LOVE’!
Yuvraj Whoa! Gr8 stuff. I love short clauses and what a way to use them. I dunno if u realized that this is the kind of poetry that Eliot and Auden excelled in. However I felt that ‘love’ cud’ve been incorporated in a better way. Numb senses steal my heart away and great debut is all I can say!
Shweta Short.Stark.Sublime. The word is missing though. Yet it turns out to be a realistic consequence of the trivial vanities that we possess and which create large distances. Nice approach. And yeah! Welkome. Am glad to see a Srivastav around…haha! Shin burn on fire!
Coffeeismp U stole my theme away…haha…but in a far better way! Dogs n pets are all such embodiments of love. Theirs is the most genuine one. However I failed to reciprocate the same to my pigeon. “Oh! U make me feel small”…too gud! U r such a kool observer of things and even better at putting them to words.
Dok Saab Is it Taz or Taj? Haha…was fun reading ur take. I can imagine the demanding wife and the helpless hubby. It happens. However the wife first seems materialistic and later denies the want of money. Roses and the much precious kisses.??!! Was a fun read in toto. Ur takes are always simple and close to heart. That’s what I love bout u!
Agnisen Haha..Tremendous personification of traits. Suspicion+failed character and Love+Jealousy are such great combinations. U clicked the right button Mr.Witness. But poor love is being crushed between the fight of Egos. Consult Mr.GSV for better legal guidance.

Mustafa Quilon said...

@Kaveesh - Absolutely! The Klash is full of suspenses. Take the case of Mickey. No one knows who he is, I hope he is not one of us 'coz that would give him unfair 2 votes...hahaha...but it makes klash interesting and gives us a chance to put our detective masks on...hahaha..:D

@ CoffeeIMP - I don't agree to most of the stuffs..but its ok :) I don't have the strength to justify my point now...!

Missy Baba said...

@Hummingnerd-- Dogs love more than humans possibly can. One can only explain and realize the warmth a dog gives you once you've been loved by one.

I grew up with a house full of dogs, I've never had a day in my life and Inshallah never will when I dont smile thinking about/talking about/loving a dog.

Cinders for example is my 11 year old labrador who is far more intelligent than any human I know, her instinct is to protect my younger dachshund or anyone in the house..like an alpha wolf would protect those in their pack. She's my soulmate, she knows when I'm angry and will bark at me to justify her position as an 'older' friend, she'll come back later to 'make up' with me.. it's rather shallow to think the love of an animal, any animal is based simply on the 'give me food' factor... I have trained over 15 hens and rats and turtles and fish on that factor but NEVER a dog.. they are born affectionate.

A day or two ago, when I'd lost hope about dadima getting better Cindy very carefully came up to me, and rested her head on my lap.. I wasnt even crying--just thinking and my hands were cold..she had been watching me and knew I was disturbed.. this may make you laugh, but it is true that dogs have a sixth sense and like dolphins heal you. I have dealt with much in life in silence, cinders has been my constant companion whenever I have lost and been sad, she has come to me ALWAYS. That to me is love, when you give without being asked or more appropriately without a trace of expectation.. and to me not only is her love unconditional, it's eternal.

Missy Baba said...

@ Yuvraj, no "Me" is another klasher.

I am-- Konfessioner Singh.

Coffeeismypoison and others, voting for those who have overshot the limit is YOUR choice. I personally would like you to think hard before you do.

Missy Baba said...

@ Dok Saab... I think I write mostly because I know you will read me. If I didn't have you, I doubt I'd have written most of what I do.

You're my fourth pillar.. :)

Mustafa Quilon said...

Missy...aaahh! alright..! I really don't think dogs can love more than humans possibly can. I never mentioned anything about the "give me food" factor. I mean I have nothing against dogs...I'm not an animal hater, Please!

I just don't think it's right to compare a dog's or a pets love to a humans. I respect your feelings but I really don't agree with few points.

I don't think this argument is going to change anyone's view so lets scrap it.

and @ CIMP - I didn't mention "Love like a slave" anywhere! and Yes as you say "For their Owners"!

Willy Wingfoot- very good piece of work..:) different situations you displayed in so less words used...but u displayed 'love' with 'humanity' ..in dim light.."see" the bright colors in ur style....-

I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do
They're really saying I love you.

I hear babies cry, I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll never know
And I think to myself what a wonderful world

ME-- pretty experienced in young age..:)..when you say..'I'm in love' then why do you say.."love, that could have been".. you r not sure..hai na...!

Coffeeismypoison- the way u wrote(very nice), the things you said...(very true)[:)] but with the ending/the title...I 'Disagree'! ;) its not that i am anti-pet or such..i believe they have always been among human best friend (but cos what you condemn sarcastically in the end is what you expecting in the title!)..love is a different notion/expression/emotion for different ppls..thanks for voting me..:)

Dok Saab- .humesha ki tarah practical dok saab..time/money ke saath love ka rishta [:)]

Agnisen- very imaginative.:). an important correction Agnisen bhai., third line..right nahi 'write'...it was little condensed....thoughtfull...[:)]..thanks for liking my take..

I feel the shiver of blue veined fingers
with their single ring
on the back of my neck

The same biscuity sweater smell
labored breathing
the pain’s getting harder and I can’t swallow
and so the tears flow…

@ GSV Sorry Sir GSV, kommenting in multiple episodes , I made this gravest mistake of overlooking you. It was purely unintentional. In fact I had liked your love song so much that i was even humming it all day. I hope you have already forgiven this lower primate.

Mickey said...

@ Lunatic Sir This is very Unfair, I mean not allowing me to vote. If I kan klash and komment why kan i not vote.
Agreed, I am just a puppet in the hands of my puppeteer, but Even then I have my own identity, words may be his but the thoughts are mine.
Konfessioner Singh and her team knows my master very well. If they think they may not kount my vote, I will not say a word, and even then try to klash.

Missy Baba said...

Mickey, of course you can vote and komment and everything..You're a Person. And your personality makes the klash that much krazier, kooler and kleverer! :)

@ Hummingnerd-- You're right, I get senti about dogs. Apologies hahaha. And yes GSV, there is a difference between loyalty and love BIG one. Dogs are loyal and love while man is usually either of the two hahaha.

Mustafa Quilon said...

Oh! Mickey...no komments...hahaha...hahaha....lol..!

Missy...no...."Dogs are loyal and love while men and women are usually either of the two" hahaha.... :p

Kaveesh said...

Whats this doggy deal here neways..?? Shinjini Singh control ur emotions darling..and Gizmo..U hardly know what those three in her house are to her!
I kudn't complete my whole set of komments...was very very busy with teaching my kids. One has an English Essay writing competition at a national level and hence was busy cutting and drying him! ;)

For now..consider my vote...It goes a well deserved to Konfessioner Singh...Simply because I can close my eyes and imagine Dadima's love..her lap..her wrinkles..and the contained tears in Shin's eyes. I kan see that resilient love that bloomed for 21 long years and sparkles as a beautiful flower in winter mornings. Loved the piece Shin..My grandma just passed away, and I never loved her the way I was supposed to..was probably a lil vindictive on behalf of my mom...But i curse myself for losing a woman who loved me unconditionally always..I always say..I can't reciprocate the same love that I get..be it the grey mottled pigeon or dadi...

Beauutiifulll!:)

Kaveesh said...

@ GSV...I am omniscient...I get to know everything. I cant subsume all things in 120...I guess thats the irony here. But for ur convenience..I have a very very sharp memory..and very sharp senses. I cud smell the pigeon around! ;)

N if voting for Shin anyhow breaks the rules for her overshoot of words...then I'd go with the best lyric of this time..GSV bhai...Loved the rhyming! Just that the imaginations went a lil too overboard!...haha!

My komments first---

1. Willy Winfoot--"Her golden ring is now lost", well written.. an interesting take on love. Dystopian views I say! :) But nice, except the Bush bit seems a bit contrived.

2. Me-- Since I know you, and since I've already said what I wanted to in a mail..I'll refrain. But I can say with much force, this IS one of your best pieces ever.

3.Yuvraj-- Aah, reminds me of a favourite Weepies song..called 'world spins madly on'

"Woke up and wished that I was dead
With an aching in my head
I lay motionless in bed
I thought of you and where you’d gone
and let the world spin madly on

Everything that I said I’d do
Like make the world brand new
And take the time for you
I just got lost and slept right through the dawn
And the world spins madly on

I let the day go by
I always say goodbye
I watch the stars from my window sill
The whole world is moving and I’m standing still

Woke up and wished that I was dead
With an aching in my head
I lay motionless in bed
The night is here and the day is gone
And the world spins madly on

I thought of you and where you’d gone
And the world spins madly on."
Yours resonates the same feelings..almost. A great first attempt! :)

4. Shweta-- Wherefore art thou?!! :)Since you're new, I think you weren't aware of one of the rules, which expect you to inclue the word in the klash, love seems to figure nowhere but I see the theme of 'waiting for love' in it. well composed..

5.Kaveesh-- I have always wanted to keep pigeons but everyone tells me that they go back to where they were born/raised.. so no point buying adults..but still, I adore these neurotic birds. And the "grey mottled" one will always be a memory to me because of you.. I can imagine it beautifully, what a wonderful take fatboy. I am feeling wretched reading it... i lost a murga recently.. I know how petowners (especially self obsessed ones like you and me) can't stand it when animals-birds-fish do not respond to us.. it's too hard for us to believe haha. :) That came across too, in your two shades of love here..

6.Coffeeismypoison-- Wow, I'm drinking coffee while reading this! I didnt do much to your poem, it only needed a bit of a snip snip..it's the idea I fell in love with.. very original. Hence all the votes I guess!!!! :)

7.Dok Saab-- This is a conversation, isn't it? one I've seen everyone who's in love-was in love have.. good take, this was required!

8. i will komment later today.

Is everyone okay with me choosing a phrase instead of all the voting and adding and word choosing this week?! It's a new year..lets choose a phrase! send in Phrase Ideas if you're okay with it?!!!

coffeeismypoison said...

happy new year~!!again.
pehle bhi bola tha...aaya nahi...hope everyones happy n joyful in 2008,and evermore.
i love this place.im so glad dok saab convinced me to join in :o)
@gsv: brilliant.u picked up something maybe coming across subconciously.wow.u know what it means?maybe i need love.then again,i guess everyone needs love.i dont even know if theres such a thing as too much love.

coffeeismypoison said...

ooh shinjini, theres a phrase...too much love...ah but we just did love eh?

NonsSens said...

Hello All - A Vey Happy New Year.

Shinjin - Its a great idea to have a phrase for the new year.

My phrase suggestion - "Afterall tomorrow is another day".........
basically I'm trying to get over the "New Year" phenomena...and just remembered this classic line from Gone With the Wind.

Missy Baba said...

@Sweta, you're right..too much love might just be too much haha... ;)

@Nandini-- I like this one!!! where are the rest of the suggestions?!!!

My suggestion-- "The End"

coffeeismypoison said...

oho shin not the end...its new years!!but its a gud phrase...but..but...its the beginning!!!nandini's was gud :o)

malted socktail said...

hello
answering questions

shin- i said she was almost everything bcuz sometimes thats how people are. you know they are not your everything, cuz theres something a miss... but still sinc theyre almost there you know the value of it.

as for the rest of the cynics or lust-believers... (im guessing mostly married, cuz thts when u think of one true love)
ill tell you all something.
these that ive written have all been love. true pure love. and ive felt it for the while...not to forget saying i do know what lust is. cuz ive had a few more of this and know the difference.. so trust em its love alright...whats to say that u cant love and loose and love again . . .
so thats that

can i still komment or is it too late?

The Konfessioners said...

you can certainly komment and suggest a new phrase too!

Santonu said...

I expected somebody will write about love with klash this time :) Dok Saab, Shin, Sarang, Mickey and their love. i'd ve written one, but i stumbled upon one confusion:

Hindi mein klash male hai ya female :D

@Shin thanks for the rare vote, i too love this place a lot

Mickey said...

@ Santonu Thanks for including me in the big-league, I am just a small player of the game kalled Klash.
And Santonu, true love is not bothered about the genders :)

Mickey said...

@ Mandappa I agree with you, Love is such a great word, it cant be restricted to True Love, as if there were false love too. Loking up Love on Wikipedia, I stumbled upon Sternberg's Triangular Theory of Love, where different forms of love are described, from Empty Love to Infatuation, which is also a form of Love.

Unknown said...

@ Mandappa I never meant Spouse, when I said True Love. In Indian scenario, most of the marriages are sill an arrangement made by the parents, and whatever love happens is a compromise to begin with.
What I meant was that a true love will stay forever, like my love for books has never waned since the day I read my first book.
And I never used the word Lust I know the difference between love and lust.

malted socktail said...

no offence...the komments were at to general misnomers

malted socktail said...

phrase suggestion:
"and then there were none."

"star spangled surprise"

"the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was..."

Mickey said...

Hi All, Kan I suggest some phrases :)
Monkeying around,
Jumping to conclusions,

इतना सन्नाटा क्यों है भाई ?

Missy Baba said...

Arrrey Mickey...kuch nahin yaar...just too dead tired to write and call and gather... let me get some initiative from Sarang and Nikhil regarding the phrase fir I'll send out the Big Mail! :)

richa said...

Santonu said...

Richa, the purple krown was stolen during new year bash, it was heard that a monkey with a girl had stolen the krown, and Shin is putting her best effort to get it back :D

Abhinav Maurya said...

Oye oye!!! You people havin so much fun here and I don't even know? I've been involved with a lot of meme blogs but none that catered to an Indian sensibility. This is a first. Kudos.

richa said...

ok sad as it is to admit I managed to finally read all the comments today which is the 6th!!! cant say had no net access coz i did and cant say was super duper busy coz i wasnt but times are tough!!
