Ek baar fir se
Vasant ne mere ghar par dastak di
Darwaza khola to paaya
Woh dur khada tha
Badalte risht.on, kadwi baat.on se bahut dur...

Dekhta hoon
Wohi rangon ki chashni mein mehke huye kuch phool
Wohi thandi pawan mein ghuli dhoop ki mithaas
Wohi ganne ka ras, Dahi cheeni ka swad

Aur wohi kadwi yaad
Jo namkeen ansoon.on se dhulke
Pheeki ho chuki thi
Vasant ki shakkar mein shayad
Madhur ho chali hai.

Sochta hoon
Meetha itna kyon sabko bhata hai..?
Vasant ye kaisa prem geet gaata hai..?
Kyon jisne jitney vasant dekhe
Utni uski umar hoti hai..?

Ek baar fir se
Poochh leta hoon..
Meri baat sun wo
Kuch nahi kehta
Bas huns deta hai, muskurata hai..

"Didi, I know you've exams, but Roma’s depressed… could you write her one of your stories, with her in it?"

"I’m not some candyman handing out candy comfort!"
"But didi, you are soooo much sweeter than candy... you're nice, encouraging and you give out hope...you said we can be whatever we want to if only we become brave enough to just...be.”

“But life is not a sugar-spun fairytale.”

*******************

"I don't know why you waste time writing nonsense. It’s not going to help your education. In your spare time learn some housework and complete that practical journal!! Ufff! if you must drink coffee at least take sugar-free!"
"I thought you said aspartame was carcinogenic!"
"At least its not calorigenic!"

Hummingnerd(120)

Untitled (Song)

I think of the day when our kite lines first crossed.

We tied them into knots, many years passed.

Then you wanted to fly away and you cut my string apart.

You're always on my mind and I see your deluded smile;

Pretty plastic, Tied to a wind, giggling about a new boy.

I can hardly sleep now, I can't stay away.

It hurts to breathe in, you know, I didn't think you would betray.

Am I illusioned by the play of my words?

Or is it that your skin now has the scent of foreign flowers.

Look at my face now, I look like I was killed in a dream,

your love was sugar-coated and topped with a cream.

Truth Dude (116)

Listen here to a story,
a tale of passion and intrigue.

Where many young men laid their lives,
for a maiden as fair as thee.

In her honour they cast their lots
to slay a giant mighty

But soon it was known
all across the land, the giant killed with glee.

Neither sugar, nor spice, nor anything nice
would bring a smile to her face.

But along came one fine prince,
who led they giant astray.

And with just one swipe of his enchanted sword
He slew the giant, hurray!

She laughed and smiled and said to him,
"Take me…as you may"

With a sheepish smile, our prince thought a while
And then declared" I'm gay.

The Bowl of Sin

The bowl was brimming with Sugar. White, translucent crystals. Making my jaw drop open.

My heart skipped a beat. I furtively looked around...no there was no one there.

I was all alone...alone with a bowl of those tantalising crystals.

A fine bead of perspiration broke on my upper lip. My hands were already clammy. My throat dry and legs shaking.

A feeble inner voice was struggling to come to fore...’run away’, but my thudding heart roared in my ears as if to drown it out.

Should I? Uh...should I go and ...??

‘NO!’, that inner intruder tried to gain control...I looked back and then back again at those perfectly crafted gems provocating me. One last spoon, I thought. And caved in...only to break my diet plan for the umpteenth time.

Pinchi(120)

As I listened to a long speech
neither in praise nor in reproach,
addressed to my achievements
my life set me thinking.
I had been a victorious sailor
keen to explore the world - and did so
and what did I gain? Sweet words.
Is that all they could give me for all I had done?
Life is short, mine was shorter still
overtly rigorous... I gave myself to the world.
variety was never my cup of tea, I did what I had to.
even though, now, they just had sweet sugary words for me.
Yes! A long speech! No! Just words
Oh! what words! "Sugar with honey, tastes bad" I thought
unheard words of my soul eventually melt away.

"Daniel…Sara.. Come inside!"

The sound of two pairs of pattering feet and then Michelle felt a great weight collide with her. She smiled and looked down at her two angels, Daniel, aged three and Sara, aged two.

"Mom, what are you doing?", asked Daniel.

"I am making pancakes for both of you, honey.", Michelle replied.

Sara was looking at the preparation in wonder. Michelle asked her, "You want to learn how to make them, sugar? See, Danny will help us. Won't you honey?"

"Yes mom"

"We first mix the flour with sugar. I have put the flour, now Danny will put sugar in the mixing bowl."

"How can I do that mommy? She's too big for the mixing bowl."

Juhi the Fragrant (119)

I just couldn’t wait anymore. I edged my fingers towards it… “Aeeiii!! When they are done, you will get them, beta.”

“Mmmmmnnnnn…mmmmmnnnnnuuuuuuuummmmnnnnnnmmmnnn…”

“Mini, mini come here.”

“Noooooooo….”

“Come, I’ll give you a sugar cube.”

“Sugar?!” I took it from her and licked it, lightly, so as not to damage its shape. As I did so, the fine grains tickled my tongue, and its sweetness filled up my mouth. After a few more licks, it did get a bit rounded, so I bit off the tweeniest chunk. The grains traveled through my mouth in a sugary stream, chattering to themselves. I sucked at the leftover chunk, making it sing. Finally I licked off the grains on my hand and lips.

Rush.me (116)

Auntie, Auntie, mummy ne kaha hai, ki, auntie ko bolo, ki, unko..mummy ko Cheeni chahiye..........

Honeyed voice perfected with Honeyed Curls, looking at the Honey Eyes. That was 5 seconds ago..... That was a long 25 years ago..... The Smirk answering the smile..... The Blinking Lashes answering the Querying Twinkle.....

The Words were never Spoken, the Touch wasn't there..... He sighed with each Grain of Sugar that exchanged the Steel.....He looked at the Reflection of the Curls that were Light-Years away, The Eyes that were a part of his Own.

Chiming away, Yesterday said a hi to Himself.....

He heard again.....

Auntie, Auntie, mummy ne kaha hai, ki, auntie ko bolo, ki, unko..mummy ko Cheeni chahiye..........

Cauchy (120)

Eyes moist, I sat besides the window, staring vacantly into the
grayness of the gloomy autumn sky. Bitterness was all mine and the
cold breeze etched deeper into my soul, my pain and emptiness. The
whole world appeared like a giant chess board and in it stood my love,
a pawn. Her naivety manipulated, seduced by me and other players
alike.

Was I any different from the selfish world outside? Why did I care
about this lowly pawn when there were waltzing queens and bishops
around? An unintelligent sentimental attachment over an expendable
unit, it could loose me my whole gambit. I sighed, it was time for a
sacrifice and to me she was just sugar in my morning coffee.

The Red Ronin (79)

the world on its haunches,
eager for the coming of the diva.
in preparation of the ceremony,
the hands tremble and tongues mumble.
the spark is lit as the fire glows
in anticipation of her
she dissolves hesitatingly
urged by the boiling water
threatening to spill but
for the trembling hands
skillfully drawing her inside
a clear prison only to release her
into the waiting arms of her lover
leaving behind a fleeting scent of
her bitter sweet symphony

Dok Saab (82)

"How much sugar in your coffee, Honey"

What a syrupy voice, you pretending bitch.
You robbed all that's sweet from my fucking life.
You filled my whole bloody soul with bitterness.
Only I know the hell I am living in since I married you.
You are offering sugar, in front of your friends.
I would have thrown this coffee over your ugly face.
But our separation plea is still pending in court.

"Oh Sweetie, keep mine black. I've had enough sugar already."

Mandappa KC (107)

A Sugar Sweet memory

It all started out at four

in the morning with the birds out chirping

as she slid under the covers of reality.

Slipping an arm around

Me so casually, my Mexican beauty

Really sparked me to insanity.

But I woke to realize

It was all a sugar sweet memory.

A liposuction dream.

So pretty that smile

Curving her lips as she touches my hips

And makes me want her so

Draggin’ her fingertips

As she seeks my heart, like a fawn in the dark

I fall as I want som’more

But I wake to realize

It was all, nothing but a sugar sweet memory.

A liposuction dream.

Mickey the Monkey (120)

Someone was stealing sugar from my kitchen.

I told Mickey about this.

"Must be those ants, Jane.

There's a big anthill down the roots of our tree."

But how could ants enter my jar.

I always kept the lid tight and placed the jar on the highest branch.

Next morning I woke up early to check the jar.

The lid was closed tightly, but much sugar was stolen.

I went to wake up Mickey.

He was looking so innocent in sleep.

The first rays of sun fell on his face.

And then some brilliant pure white crystals shone through his moustaches.

So here was our ant.

Poor Mickey, I will talk to DokSaab to allow him at least some sugar.

Nandini Sen (120)

“Spoonful of sugar helps medicine go down” sang Dadima, coaxing me to have the medicine with the solitary English song she knew.

Though, Dadima didn’t know, it was her Bengali accented rendition of the song, and not sugar, that made me have the medicines.

Childhood passed Work took me far.

One summer, between jobs, I visited ailing Dadima. We made a pact, I’d cook and she’d have all those medicines prescribed. After every meal, she spread her medicines. I sang coaxingly “Spoonful of sugar helps medicine go down”. Obediently Dadima would have them.

Soon holiday ended. As I was leaving, Dadima said “I had the medicines to hear that funny British accent of your song - not because of sugar”.

Mowgli (118)

The craving

Gelatin

Sack in

Bit-ween

The legs,

Forms fluid wet thoughts

Surrender the snake flesh

In search of the dark purse

Beneath the salty forests

“Oh! sugar pie,

Come! Dance

The dance of death

Between your legs

Let’s stain the beds”

Born to suffer

And surrender

Yet she refuses,

They wonder!

“Come now sugar

Surrender to our guilt

We are the mob

From despair’s pit”

Held her wrist

Put a gun under

Yet she refuses

They wonder!

That pain.

The white sheet.

Touched and torn.

Jaws of the moon,

Jabbing at the ivory.

Sweet sugar melted

Screaming; rising tide

Blood moon pelted

With lust as its guide

We need to learn;

This Night!!

We Should…!!

We Must…!!

Konfessioner Singh (144)

[not up for the kompetition, but here :)]

Behind the banana trees
Dries a withered green
Terrylene
Sari
On a wire
A pink wire
A shocking pink wire

Jugnu, then three
Stands under this shocking pink wire
Bare legs far apart
Toes turned inwards
The smell of Rin-water
Itching his nose
Plugged with a stubby finger
He squints

“Maaaaiieee!!!”
And he’s bawling
One eye is red
The other’s dam breaks
And she rushes to him
Dropping the katori
The katori of sugar
Not looking back
But running fast and forward

“Jugnu!!”
“Maaiieee!!!”

And in the chaos
The crystals lie forgotten
Refracting light from a laughing sun
To the blur of images
In the face of shining steel

Jugnu lies in the hollow
Of her yellow
Bright basant yellow
Sari
Gurgling happily
With his one red eye
And his halwa smeared mouth
Squinting
At an ant
Whisking away
One crystal of forgotten sugar.

I thought it would be pertinent to offer the explanation in advance taaki baad main sabki OHT na ho jaye kahin.

Explanation:
This is the soliloquy of a sailor who has accomplished much and is now listening to a congratulatory speech on his accomplishments. "Sugar mixed with honey tastes bad" is a reference to Shakespeare in As You Like It, "Sugar mixed with Honey is too much of a good thing". Sugar refers to the accomplishments, and Honey to the accolades that the sailor is being bestowed upon. And the feeling of those together is "bad taste", means, he doesn't like it and yet can't even say it.

The post has yet another "meaning" which is intended for the one it is intended for. :p

Happy Klashing!

@ Sagar, we do not have a "document". We are an informal group who sort of abide by certain rules which include kommenting and voting regularly.

Considering we have over 13 klashes coming in every week, I'd appreciate it if the writers made an effort to review each others work especially since others review theirs. That is all. All new members who do not vote/komment regularly have been asked to confirm whether they will and I am known to be particular about the same. You may confirm this from GSV or Agnisen, if you have the time and inclination.

And whatever the "assume" meant, I'm afraid I simply did not understand the de-constructed version.

Cheers,
Shinjini.

Now the Komments

1. Hummingnerd--
Had I been in your shoes, I would have relished the sugar coating and the cream and thrown away the cone. Lovely song nerd!
2. Truth Dude--
So this is your truth, Dude ;). But very little Sugar In your take.
3. Trapti Mishra--
Lucky, you don’t have mustaches. Poor me, Jane caught me red handed, or rather sugar-mustached.
4. Pinchi --
The explanation was not needed Pinchi, I got the unintended meaning, but what is this another meaning, and who is that intended one??
5. Santonu --
Sirji, Cadila has just sued Dabur for using Sugar free to the chyawanprash. Bachke rehna!!
6. Priyanka Chakraborty--
Sweet conversation between mommy and kids, lovely.
7. Juhi the Fragrant --Such graphic description of a sugar cube, mouth watering!!
8. Rush.me --
Borrowing sugar, a very typical Indian middle class activity. Loved the unko..mummy ko part.
9. Cauchy --
Sentiments just the opposite of Hummingnerd :). Good one, Cauchy ji
p.s. Googled Cauchy to find a great mathematician, are you also one?
10. The Red Ronin --
Very poetic description of sugar melting, but where is the sugar, according to the non existent rule book, you have to include the word in your 120 so that the word is the soul of your write-up, remove the word and the take becomes meaningless.
11. Dok Saab --
Never imagined a kid’s doctor would use the F word. But the bitterness of a failed marriage well brought out.
12. Mandappa KC --
Its more sensuous than a sweet dream, Mandappa. And what’s the liposuction connection here, I believe its an operation for getting slim.
13. Mickey the Monkey --
From the next time I would be careful enough to wipe the fucking mustaches.
14. Nandini Sen --
Dadi ma takes always get so sentimental. Touchy !!
15. Mowgli--
wet thoughts,dark purse,salty forests,Let’s stain the beds
May be it is my dirty mind which is totally off track. Will you be more explicit , Mowgli.

malted socktail said...

@ MICKEY: well im glad somebody asked...
well "a liposuction dream" . . well liposuction is when you remove unwanted fat from ure body surgically... there what i implied, was a dream that removed all the unwanted parts (parts where the girl is gone, and therefore its only a memory) but in dreams u dont think of all that...the bad parts that is...
therefore : a liposuction dream.

hello all..i have not been as active as i used ot be here...the reasons are the same, so wont bore anyone with them!! this time i decided not to write but will komment as I havent done that last couple of times. I might not write in the near future but will try and komment..is it allowed Princess?? just komment and vote and not write??
so a big congrats to CIMP and welcome to Chaucy..how do you say your name?? same as Chauser??

here goes:
CIMP: liked the flow between the two conversations. it would have been "sugar-free" but for the line "But life is not a sugar-spun fairytale.”

Hummingnerd: nicd song...killed in dream?? he has a happy expression on his face?? but i thought it lacked sugar as its soul.

Truth Dude: hahahaha!!! even though there was hardly any sugar your take was sweet and funny!! you know its legal now in many states in the US for gays to marry!

Trapti: it was very sugary!!! nice portrayal of temptation however i dont many people..myself included who are dieting and get urges to eat raw sugar!!! u do know u exceeded the word limit??!!

Pinchi: nice use of the Bard...but it didnt touch my heart :)

Santonu: aap kahin adman to nahi??? :-) all the shootings etc..hmmm now i know!! nice jingle

Priyanka: welcome shelcome hai ji...kaisi kar rahi hai shaadi shuda zindagi? liked the homey scene and the last line was so funny!!

Juhi: one of the best description of the sugar cube...esp the part about how it whistles when u suck on it!! you are very consistant at delivering great write ups!!

Rush-Me: how quaint and how filmy yet not corny!! well done!!

Cauchy:hmmm i felt that maybe the word"sugar" could have been replaced by any otehr word..like "cherry on my cake" and it wouldnt have changed the meaning. liked the fragmentation

Red Ronin: one of my fav write ups...such a subtle yet mesmerising dissolving of sugar!! you made it sound almost sensous!! if only u had used the word...although i strongly feel that even without it..sugar was the very soul of your piece

Dok Sa'ab: kya baat hai...itni strong language!!! hmmm lagta hai mizaaz kharab hain!! :) a very different write up from you sir...very well written

Mandappa: nice song...write the music to it!! liked the lines
"It was all, nothing but a sugar sweet memory.

A liposuction dream"

Mickey: your hilarity knows no bounds...i read it while at work and actually burst out laughing!!

Nandini: dadima/ nanima is always a very close to heart theme..very well written. an sure it is a sugar sweet memory you cherish!!

Mowgli: Holy cow!! and double wow!! it was very very strong and immensely well written. the use of sugar as a metaphor was incredible. never knew anyone could write about "rape" like this but you did!! wonderful

Princess: what do i have to do to get you to agree to be my mentor too?? i have asked and mailed before but not even a peep at my blog!! from no one here actually!!
what can i say about your piece..u write like a professional!! the yellow and green colored saree...u write and i can see it!!

my voye...i shall wait for other entries if any

@ Cauchy and Trapti, a very very warm welkome! Do komment and vote to participate next time :) And no Cauchy, you aren't allowed two votes. Just one, which carries 1 point, unless you won the klash in the previous week, in the case of which your vote will have 2 points.

@Tanvee-- Thank you!

@Santonu-- good idea, and no problem at all, in fact by this Sunday or the next, we should have a post up, in which all the regular klashers get to introduce themselves.

@Arnav-- I totally understand your stress levels, and the net and all the talking can only aggravate it haha... :) Have a GOOD long break :). We'll miss you!

@Rush.me and Empress-- I think you both should give me the lessons!!! I'm just writing without much thought these days!

@ Mandi-- you can always explain the poem anyway?! :)

@everyone-- WOW... we have a WHOLE bunch of klashes this time! Please vote and komment quickly!! :)

Cheers!
Shinjini.

p.s. Sagar, you didn't confirm whether you'd be voting and kommenting so I haven't put your entry up.

GSV - Awesome, awesome, awesome...aur kya bolun.Cheeni jaisa Vasant hai. Tell us whats Summer, Winter, Spring & Autumn.
Super analogy.

CIMP - Nice flow of conversation...and well woven. Restraining sugar?(Mom for you & you to your sis)...but life will have its sweet sugary moments :-))

Humming - "I looked like I was killed in a dream" - great play of words....and love somehow always seems "honeyed" & "sugar coated" - even when betrayed. Great stuff.

Truth D - Hehehe - "its different". Ummm "sugar" didn't kind of show itself too much, but got the essence of it & liked the different flavour you dished up. Cool.

Trapti - Welcome.
Nice sugary take......but do you really get craving for sugar in its "tantalising crystal" form?

Pinchi - Yup - too much of sweet words just makes one feel diabetic. Somehow I always feel farewell speeches, congratulatory speeches are soooooo "honey sugared" - but almost seem like an obituary...Since the deed is done (dead & gone),and you're trying to pour sugar on it as a hindsight, C'mon if you found the worker soooo great, just give the accolades then & there - not at the end of his tenure!!!!...so your sugar leaves you with a bitter after taste.
Nice piece.

Santonu - Awww why does poor sugar get blamed for a stressful lifestyle....Is sugar really "white poison" (Dok Saab & CIMP - do shed some gyan). Santonu - yours is an everday poem...most of us can fit ourselves into it. I too try to take Sugar Free in my beverages....but always wonder if thats anyhelp.

NonsSens said...

(Nandini)

Priyanka - A sweet little tale. Particularly like the last line "She's too big for the mixing bowl". ....your piece is sweeter than sugar...and yet non diabetic.
Nice simple, sweet take.

Juhi - Ode to the sugar cube. As a kid, I always fascinated by the sugar cube - always "locked it gently so as not to destroy its shape" :-)) Well written. Definitely a contender for my Vote

Rush.Me - Built it well around a very common phenomena - borrowing sugar from neighbours. Its brought out the theme well....and with your explanation taken on a bit of a a filmy hue.

Cauchy - Welcome to you too.
Ummm - so now do you have your cofee without sugar?...Probably you could switch to tea with honey?? Nice take - sad overtones.

RedR - Wooo - even if the word is not mentioned - but sugar is all over your piece. Brought out the essence real well. Next time I'm stirring sugar(sugar free) into my coffee, I'll be imagining your take.....well written.
Another contender for my vote

DokSaab - Wow!! Last line was the killer "Keep mine black"....matches your mood.Bitterness with sugar - a true "bitter sweet symphony". Well crafted piece.

Mandappa - Its been mentioned b4 too - but "liposuction dream" is just an awesome thought...don't know why, but your piece reminds me the song "Speedy Gonsalves". Sir, set your poem into a tune....it'll turn out to be a gr8 song.

MickeyM - Heeheehee...gosh you're lucky the ants never bit you while you were sleeping with the sugar bits encased all over your face....The laugh riot continues.

Mowgli - Ummm...errr...hmmm - very, very creative. Absolutely unique potrayal....but somehow I can't picture sugar as "steamy".
The explanation helped me understand your piece better. I'd say - very, very creative - only thing I'm slightly traditional in keeping my sugar sweet - cant think of it as steamy, dark & bitter.

KonfiSingh - Really liked it....blended the theme really well - drat!!! the word limit.

My Vote -
Juhi, Red Ronin, Dok Saab - was really considering amongst these 3, untill GSV came along.

My Vote goes to GSV

I realize commenting & Voting regularly in Klash is important, but somehow knowing my schedule, I wont be able to fit that regularity. Which also means, unfortunately, I'll have to miss writing into Klash. More than time, I need a mood & Neither I nor anybody else can control it. Anyways, thanks for giving me an opportunity to write in once...and hope I'm able to rearrange my schedule someday to write, comment & vote.

The last time I was unable to comment due to login issues. And I was quite taken aback with your decision to hold with only one reaction. There is always a 2nd chance - Maybe Shinjini doesn't think like that. And in spite of taking out time and the right mood and temperament to write, you didn't post my submission. As a child I loved Hitler for his ability to move masses but hated his atrocities. I feel the same out here. I loved your will and tenacity to bring together a bunch of unknown writers on the same platform, but hated your style of dealing with issues. I'm neither a journalist who sits and write nor a critic who has something to say about everybody and every time. I'm a writer who creates with the upheavals and turmoils of his temperament and desires.

Until then I'll keep reading the writings....

Cheers.

Sagar,

I appreciate your effort. It wasn't easy getting 16 people to write regularly, I think it took a Hitler to do it. I have previously withheld entries as well, for good reason.

I hope you will write whenever you have the time and inclination.

Congratulaions and felicitations, CIMP. Hope someday that you'll do a psychological check of my head, I would really like to know what actually goes on in there.

Hello

I GSV as the citizen of Monarchy(okay okay Triarchy:P) kingdom of Klash do here by propose to add some more rules to the unwritten constitution of this place for better functioning of klash

And like the 'common law' suggestions can be sent to 'the konfessioners'

- Last week winner's take should be for critical evaluation/reading pleasure only.(this rule is actually just an improvised version of old system when we had one appointed judge for the week, but he was not able to write).

-Valuating worth of a writeup in terms of voting which is in Hindi vis a vis an English one would be a difficult task.So in that case One language One nation policy can be applied.Takes in other languages preferably Hindi, though should not be debarred but again should not be up for voting.Indian english writing style though should not suffer by this rule, like most of klashers have used vernacular words in their takes.(Richa di,maarna mat please for suggesting this rule..:D..warna main bhi bhoot ban jaaonga,BTW thankyou for voting par 'bhooto.n ke votes count nahi hote..:)

-In case of Klose kompetetion where consensus is not possible last week winner or 'the konfessioners' should hold special Veto power to get result oriented klash..

@Shinjini-I am 'afraid' even after writing all this, still it wont form a 'Document'.:P..But I think much bitterness of S-u-g-a-r Neel De episode is dissolved now..i really appreciate your elegance while dealing with the matter.:D.. I can visualise Hitler eating 'pink ladoos'...haha:P..
Shinjini a suggestion, you can paste Sagar's klash in comment section for this time only..this wont break any rule..:)

@Sagar - sorry for mispellin name, hope you wont mind..Konfessioners ne meri bhi once ek entry post nahi kee thi due to same reason..:)

@Sweta- congrats, congrats, ..:)

@Kaveesh- bhai Gizmo toh aa gaya hai, aap kahan reh gaye..:)

@ Mickey- 'trying to do Richa' haha..arrey nahi nahi ...actually bhai sach baat toh ye hai ki main likh nahi paaya...uff aapko toh pata hi hai main aur meri angrezi :D

@ Tanvee-arrey aap orbit mein toh ho..main toh out of orbit ho gaya...:)

@Nandini- :)

----------------------------------
Long Live the Queen..:D
Amen!
:P

The Konfessioners said...

GSV... excellent suggestions... I shall send a mail incorporating both rules immediately.

As far as putting Sagar's entry up is concerned, I do not think it would be fair to those I have not put up in earlier times... eg, Hummingnerd's, your's and Agnisen.

I do not see why this matter is taking a serious turn, however if the komrades want to read Sagar's entry I'm sure he can share it with them on being asked.

I realize I haven't always kommented on time too, I don't even see myself as a leader or anything I just happen to know a password the rest don't haha.. :) but the point is, writing 13-16 komments is no joke and people do it seriously and with much thought every week. Those who do not tell me they will not be doing it and the like..and I handle the klash accordingly, if someone does not tell me in a "Yes" or a "No" whether they will be or won't be kommenting, it is my prerogative to not put the entry up. Simple as that. I refuse to respond to further queries on the matter, Sagar, you are just as welkome as you were the first day you posted here... :)

Cheers,
Konfessioner Singh.

Santonu said...

Sagar, i dont know how long u've been following klash, but there was a time when we used to get many klashers who disappered afer single klash, its essential to have a group for sometime as to know about the writing, style and an understanding, so if this rule is being implemented u cant term it as atrocity. someway or the other it helps us to have the mood to write

Missy Baba said...

@Arnav-- Thank you for the explanation! I'm sure many of us are the richer for it :).

Wow! Some controversy...:D

@Shin! - New Pseudonyms to consider...Hitler, terror..etc... :p Coincidently, Sugar rhymes with it too ;)Take your pick :D

I'm sure you won't be perturbed by the allegations(if there was one at all) :)

And oye, I have never been banned from Klash 'coz I've always kommented. I klash only when I'm sure I will be able to komment. I believe, the komments section is the "USP" of Klash and rightly so! The entries without any discussion would go lifeless...Also, I learned a lot here. For instance, appreciating others work more than waiting for appreciation of yours :)

@Sagar - Hope you find more time from your schedule and we would love to see you klashing again. All the best in making that happen:)

@Kaveesh - Bingo, so many new names around and so much more kreativity. Thanks for the warm welkome :) and hope to see you klash again soon :)

@Dok Saab - Tussi great ho! Your feat deserves a Krown in itself. Something like "the Evergreen Klasher"

@GSV bhai - Wondeful suggestions.

@ Rushme - "Am going back to the start"...My reply would have been more elaborate, however, I'm listening to "the Scientist"(coldplay) and it has a weird effect on my senses.

Oh! and if not for your explanation I would not have understood your take. I read this on your blog a week back and was found wanting for answers.

@ Mickey - "thrown away the cone"...hahaha... and thanks for the names :) Did you miss one more shweta or are they both the same?

@ Arnav - Thanks for the explanation, or else meri toh OHT pakki hi thi :p However, I find it very hard to give explanations for my takes :| This was a song with a wonderful tune. I convinced myself that I would sing(No matter how bad my voice sounds) and upload with some edited clips on youtube, however, as fate would have had it my microphone did not work when it mattered the most. My Kiddo(little cousin) loves wearing the headphones and fancies the mic. a lot :) May be, thats the reason for the ill-functioning microphone

@ Mandi - Oye, you can always give explanations and the liposuction analogy was great :)

@ CIMP (sweta) - Congratulations and all the best for the next frontier :)

@ Richa - Thanks for the Bhootful special entry and komments :) and no, he does not have a happy expression on his face. You bold as follows --> "< b >without the spaces < / b >"

@ Arnav - We'll miss you dude! :)

Who is "Heady Concoctions" ?

Who is from Mahape, Surat and Chandigarh, amongst us?

I thought I would be kommenting but just reading the takes and komments section took all the time I had today. Will have to read the takes a few more times and will komment during the weekend :)

Oh! Its perfectly alright Shin :) and I guess the problem is when we copy the text from MS Word to our mail and send it to you. The problems with Microsoft and not google...hahaha...I always use Textpad while writing but I used MS word this time and thats where I erred :)

richa said...

I was almost bursting inside reading some komments and names and was about to write a very strong response when i read other's milder ones and your's very mature one!!! am so proud of you...meri Princess badi ho rahi hai!! hahaha!!

@Sagar: its unfortunate you feel we here are "Hitlerish"..and I say "we" coz all the rules are with consensus. as one of the older members of the forum I can say that all "rules" were agreed upon by all and sundry. I cant say I particularly like Shinjini being refered to as "Hitler" We all think its only common courtesy that we extend to each other by mutual commenting. none of us here in your words "a journalist who sits and write nor a critic who has something to say about everybody and every time. I'm a writer who creates with the upheavals and turmoils of his temperament and desires." but in the end we think and act and respect each other like a family.

Missy Baba said...

@ Kaveesh-- Yeah, I liked Blah Queen's entry last week too... Not too sure about the Shakespeare wali line... what I've been looking for is a reference to "moonshine" as in alcohol in either the Merchant of Venice or The Tempest... any klue if Shakespeare used the word?!!

richa said...

well i think if the last week or any weeks winner for that matter keeps producing winnable write ups...well then he should..i mean win!! mera matlab hai..they should be open to voting....lekin to give everyone a fair shot...maybe if someone wins twice in a row than the 3rd time we can follow this rule...

Mustafa Quilon said...

I think the winners entry should be up for the Kompetition. Lets have a poll and have last weeks winner entry open for vote, this time.

@Shin - Yeah! I almost forgot that part. But, then you did what was fair :)

That is exactly what I hate about Microsoft.

I got few visits from Mahape and Chandigarh on my blog. So, was just curious as to who it is :) It showed Mahape very close to Mumbai. Maybe, its in the outskirts of Mumbai city.

@ All I agree with Hummingnerd, Komments and Votes are the USP of Klash. I had a blog for so many years, but never got any Komments, and now I write 120 words and get 17 people kriticise me. This is a lovely feeling, so satisfying. Kudos to Shinjini Singh and Mahajan Duo for conceptualising such a blog.

My Komments
In Alphabetical order

Cauchy------
Sacrificing a pawn to win the game, good thinking, Cauchy, but couldn’t understand the sugar in the coffee allegory.

Coffeeismypoison------
I am proud of you, not because of your academic result, but because of the sweet person you are :)
Nice take from you once more. True there is nothing like the natural sugar, no Sugar Free can substitute it. And restricting sugar doesn’t increase life, just makes life seem longer.

GSV------
Ab mai kyaa bolooon, shayari to aap English mein bhee kar rahe they.
So many flavours in your kavita, Kadwee yaad, Namkeen aanso and so much sweetness, chaashni, ganne ka ras, dahi cheeni, shakkar. So many types of sweetness can be found in Hindi language only.

Hummingnerd------
How true, Nerd, Love is a sugar coated pill, leaves a very bitter aftertaste. Lovely Song!!

Juhi the Fragrant------
Sugar cubes, so tempting!! Even at this age I can’t resist popping up a cube whenever we go to a restaurant. Very imaginative take, Juhi.

Konfessioner Singh ------
Very beautiful pictorisation!!
Not a single word should be removed just for the sake of fitting it into klash format.
This is distinctive Shinjini style, one can easily recognize.

Mandappa KC------
Curving her lips as she touches my hips!! Strange dreams you see, Mandappa. Dreams at four in the morning often come true :)

Mickey the Monkey------You are going through a bad patch, Monkey, first you lost your tail, then Jane’s de-addiction therapy, and now raised blood sugar. But there is one ray of hope, your favourite Dr Sweta is studying psychiatry, so she will be there to treat you. (p.s. try sugar cubes instead, they don’t stick to the mustaches)

Mowgli------
Very impressive, Sugar being raped, well how true, in this materialistic society, the ugly always rapes all that is sweet. Especially liked the lines
Born to suffer
And surrender
Yet she refuses,
They wonder!

Nandini Sen ------
Very cute take, Nandini. True, the love involved in these relations is sweeter than any sugar.

Pinchi------
Strange, your sailor doesn’t like to hear accolades.

Priyanka Chakraborty------
Innocent conversation of the enthusiastic children!! Reminds me of my childhood, when we baked cakes at home, reading from a recipe book, mixing the batter was the boys job so I did that, measuring the sugar on the scale was my sisters duty.

Rush.me ------
Borrowing sugar, I have not seen this activity for the past 20 years. We don’t even get to see the neighbors daily. But there was a time when our neighborhood was just like a big family, sharing small and big joys.
Lovely take.

Santonu------
Nice jingle and that too for free!!

The Red Ronin ------
Sugar can be felt throughout but it has to be seen too, Ronin. Well written, but here at Klash, you have to use the word in your take.

Trapti Mishra------
Very nicely written! True, those crystals are soo tempting.

Truth Dude------
Funny poem, Dude, but the theme was sugar.

Unknown said...

I want to share a close to my heart anecdote related to sugar.
My Dad strongly disliked sugar (or any thing sweet). We always wondered why. Then one day my grandma told us the reason. He used to steal sugar from the jar when he was 5. And spoilt all the sugar in the process. So one morning Dadi ma tied him on a leash with the bedpost and placed a jar full of sugar near him, eat as much as you can today he was told. He remained tied to the bedpost for 7 hrs initially eating some sugar and then weeping for hours. since then he hated sugar. :)
But he was the sweetest person i have ever known.

Missy Baba said...

hahaha! Sukcess story?! ;)

But the klash is not an original idea, it struck me when I was writing (and i still do) at writer's dock where they had a forum called 60 Word Fiction, Nikhil, Sarang and I talked about it and decided maybe the klash is a good idea, from the word "Flash" actually! :) And what keeps us alive is all of you who find time to read, write and review week after week! To me, the klash is a stress buster and a group of people I absolutely love being friends with... I don't know how big we'll be someday but I do hope we stay together forever and ever! :)

@ Hummingnerd, good idea, I'll put up a poll, i wanted to earlier but kouldn't frame a bloody question hahaha... I think I kan now!

@Dok Saab-- You're right!!! Remember the old days when there were only 5-6 klashers, Santonu, you, Mandi, TD, sometimes Richa, Nikhil and Sarang? haha.. and we had this informal winner and the word always came from the konfessioners some how that's changed and evolved and through such a long process... from Judge's to God knows what!!! It's been very very fascinating to watch the klash grow!

Oh shit, look at this... as if we don't have to komment... !!! PEOPLE VOTE KARO! and komment karo...chetti chetti!! :D

big hugs all around and five pink ladoos for GSV!! ;)

Funny poem, Dude, but the theme was sugar.

Hey Dok you think I didn't know that?

truthdude said...

KOmments

GSV - i didn't get beyond the first five lines dude! this hindi-english mix doesn't help...but hey, good show...people here liked it quite a bit.

cimp - cynical doc, but nice writing there :)

hmnrd - I look like I was killed in a dream, bloody brilliant man :)

td - the gay metaphor as in hey twink! the girl metaphor as in sugar, spice and everything nice.
dear dok...thats two times in one poem. sugar :)

trapti - nice, a bowl of sin...although couldnt take that much sugar! and immsure a lot of "healthy" people would identify with the diet plan going for a toss bit.

pinchi - it works...even without the explanations :)

santonu - ting tong..ad break baby...ting tong. i really like that satirical approach. and you pull it off too!

priyanka - sugar, honey, pancakes...when do you think we can eat?! :)
nice simple writing. and effective too!

juhi - nice description...could be made more wicked when you have a dirtly mind and imagination :D

rush.me - sorry i don't get. was it just a flashback or was there something more to it?

cauchy - this could be a poem.

red dude - i got it when i read it the second time. i appreciated it when i read it the third. very nice dude!!

dok - dirty-black-filled-with-bitterness-sugar!
only you could write something like this dok! cool!!

mandappa - sexy...without the liposuction bit. that put me off a little!

mickey - vivid pictures you paint. and i love the simplicity of your language! cool!!

nandini - now you got that tune in my head :) good klash!!

mowgli - damn man..you can be a writer who can actually sell stuff dude! rich metaphors, delicate language and soft porn :) im telling you dude..make money with your writing!

k - yer not up for the competition, but im still gonna comment.
your writing reflects an india i see in documentary films you know...village scenes, rolling hills, waterfalls, jugnu..you have so much ethnic stuff in your writing..its not always understood...but definitely appreciated!

my vote - the red dude and mowgli

i can't vote for two? I just did...so sue me :)

ruSh.Me said...

@ truthdude
flashback!!! totally!!!

truthdude said...

:) nice flashback rashmi!

Unknown said...

Sorry Dude, I dont get the metaphors so easily, and i found only one reference to sugar,
Neither sugar, nor spice, nor anything nice
would bring a smile to her face.

that too not very convincing.
Thanks for the explanation :)

My turn.

GSV- It is a delightful celebration of spring, and in Hindi too! yum...yum...

CIMP- hmmm...sounds like a small snippet out of one of those parallel cinemas that my mother so dearly loves. Speaks much about your writer ratings at home :) Question: What is aspartame?

Hummingnerd- Nice imagery and emotion. Thus according to the paper VI on my syllabus you are a romantic. Ta-dah! I love this one "your love was sugar-coated and topped with a cream" Too sugary.

Truth- Hehe...the poor princess. What a waste! Of the enchanted sword, what else?

Trapti- Warm welcome and balloons. Ouch, the pain of a dietic (if there is such a word, which I highly suspect as not)! Excellently executed.

Pinchi- Does the sailor want them to gift him/her an island? :P Sorry for the PJ. It sounds like a soliloquy of a depressed and defeated person, who had gone out to conquer the world, but now the world had failed him.

Santonu- You know, while reading it, a sort of hazy picture attacked my mind, which included girls in yellow sarees, and fat old men in blue tracks, and a trrring trrring sort of jingle. Trrringg...sugarfree!...trring-tronggg...

Priyanka- Hahaha, Ba! Daroon! Ah, the innocence and the mischief of being a child! It is a mesmerizing piece.

Rush- Wow, flashback. It is a charming picture of the Indian middle class.

Cauchy- Welcome and hot chocolate for you. It is a beautiful piece of work, and it shows if not all but most of the real world. Kudos.

Ronin- This evokes a beautiful picture of an ancient probably Mayan prayer ritual, full of reverant crowds surrounding a huge Mayan pyramid with the priest holding court amidst billowing smoke, and a slender damsel involved. Its pretty, sorry if its not something that you wanted me to imagine.

Dok saab- Oooh, quite scary for the unmarried. Its a nice piece of literature.

Mandappa- Extremely imaginative and very novel, "extremely novel" status has been swiped by Mowgli, concept. Though I have to agree with somebody, who I cannot find at this moment who said that "the liposuction dream" spoils it a bit.

Mickey the Monkey- Bad Mickey the Monkey, whenever I hear, you are always tormenting poor Jane!! Ants indeed! Psst...Dok saab is right try sugar cubes, but then just pop them into your mouth.

Nandini- Another sweet example of the important things in life, family, kids, neighbours...sweet and charming.

Mowgli- Mowgli, you take the cake for the most extraordinary and novel take, completely reversing the picture of the innocent "sugar". Unfortunately for me it is a very graphic piece of work.

Konfessioner- Ah! Travelling in a second class open window train compartment, the smell of puris and aloo ki sabji entrances as I gaze out of the window at the mischievous Jugnu and his beautiful mother. Slurp. Hahaha...bewitching.

Wow, this is a tough job, I really am at a loss to vote for one person. Its a bitter sweet sugary job! :)

Hmmm...through the heart rending sad process of elimination I've narrowed it down to innocence and beauty (aka. Priyanka and GSV)...
I say innocence...fanfare...trrraaantaraaaaa PRIYANKA...trrrrruuummmmm...trr.

Now the Komments..ahem ahem ;D

GSV: Shahrukh asked Rajnikanth at the NDTV Indian of the Year awards: "What does one do to become the Shahenshah?" Now I ask u the same.."how does one write perfectly to become the Shahenshah of the Klash, everytime..??" :) Beautiful piece..

Coffeeismypoison: The innocence of the younger sibling shows through..and the second one seems to be a scolding from a mother.. :) Nice one there..!!

Hummingnerd: Heartbreak and heartache.. :) Well written..

Truth Dude: Hmm..took me back to the fairy tales I used to read as a kid. But not much sugar there..

Trapti Mishra: Many a times certain cravings have smashed my diet plans..but never a bowl of sugar. :) Very sweet take..

Pinchi: You work hard all your life and all you get are sugar coated words.. The frustration shows in your take.. :)

Santonu: A different take..a jingle..nice one.. :)

Juhi the Fragrant: Exact description of how tasty a sugar cube is.. even I love having them.. Beautiful.. :)

Rush.me: Do I sense a feeling of disappointment in ur protagonist? Nice one though..

Cauchy: Bittersweet experience..

The Red Ronin: The word's not used anywhere..yet its so poignant. Nice..

Komments-

Coffeeismypoison- Sweta.. I guess you have come up with prose for the very first time here in klash.and it was nice to read..:) Two different situations joint together…but how they correlate.?..I guess ‘life is not a sugar-spun fairytale’ is the punch line of ur take…and then I was reading just yesterday in newspaper abt the artificial sweetening agents…their carcinogenic nature…and that even they are not 100% calorie free like zero watt bulb is also of some 15 watts.. So now ‘poison’ can be enjoyed with ordinary sucrose also…u wont gain much weight…:)

Hummingnerd- now the starting point is eye-candy..(the untitled song) ..I mean why would anybody go with a song which is untitled with a tag “untitled’…:).. your last two lines were as nice as the first two..! ‘It hurts to breath in’ and… liked the ‘killed in the dream’ sequence, one of your best take humming, and I know more best rest to come..:)

TD- a tale of passion and intrigue, with funny end, good rhyme, nice work, including metaphors of sugar..!:)

Trapti Mishra- the bowl of sin was little overweigh, some ten words extra, so make sure it also loose a bit along with dieting plan:)….it was good to read how the urge to commit a sin , the temptation to eat white translucent crystals, was depicted, very nice..:)

Arnav,Pinchi- sugary words at farewell ceremony, could not dilute the bitterness of long monotonous tenure…different approach Arnav..:)

Santonu- Ting Tong…:) , haha.. though the third para of advertisement has nothing to do with ‘sugarfree’ , but the ‘biwi paresan..’..haha..it was humorous :) ..Ting Tong

Priyanka Chakraborty- the way you beautifully mixed chemicals last time, this time I can smell the sugary pancakes even when they are still in making..:) and can hear the sound of two plattering feet too…and 'she is too big for the mixing bowl'..haha..:) ‘simplicity redefined’ or can say 'sugar refined' take..:)

Juhi the fragrant,Tanvee- or mini the sugar,.excellent take on the word this week..The visual appeal to a sugar cube mixed with sugary taste…:)..

Rush.me- the fastest girl on earth..Rush.me..:P I mean it takes just abt 8 minutes to reach ‘first ray of sunlight’/rashmi on earth from millions miles away. Honey voice, curls, eyes, aur kya chahiye. Dil ko behlane ke liye yehi khayaal kaafi hai..:P.:) thoda sa confusing tha, kyonki wo cheeni Aunty Aunty keh kar maang rahi thi aur sun Uncle rahe thay…:D.. but it was emotional filmy story..and when I use ‘filmy’ in ‘non-italics’..:P it means good and nice..:)

Cauchy- an intelligent writeup,:) sacrificing sugar for the game…!

The red ronin- Was it making/drinking of tea/coffee where sugar was diva? I don’t know ritesh what it means..but the art in ur writup is nice:)

DokSaab- haha..kiska gussa nikal diya sir sugar par..:) realistic tha humesha ki tarah, guests ke samne log kadwe rishto.n mein bhi meetha bolte hain..haha…:)..
Haan Sir wo ‘Anecdote’ khoobsurat thi…:)

Mandappa Kc- . Sugar sweet dreams, nice theme..! the liposuction dream song rhymes well like your earlier ones..:)

Mickey the monkey- you see now monkey, how much Jane loves you…she is going to ask doksaab for permitting you some sugar…And please please don’t leave those hints everytime..someone will catch it ,I tell you one day…you understand what I am saying…u should ! Abt the take, monkey what I can say…innocent ..terrifically innocent, :P.. And all credit goes to Jane..:)

Nandini Sen- Singing a song by a beloved one makes medicine go down, umm.. this is sugary representation of love effect in relations. Loved dadima’s Bengali and yours funny british accent…best take here in terms of sweet relations..:))..I cant say more..loss of words..:P

Mowgli-Nice creativity! Used sugar in colloquial sense, very different! :)

Konfessioner singh- Mesmerizing Sugary overshooting ! liked it..:)

My vote-
Each writeup was unique in its own term, still I liked Nandini, Mickey, k.s, Rashmi, Priyanka, and Juhi though may be/may not be in same order. Difficult to choose..among them

Vote- Juhi the tanvee..:)

Wow! this is gonna take some doing...

bad timing the computer guy is here...Komments later!

Santonu said...

So here goes my ameature komments for the professiona write ups

GSV liked this line "Kyon jisne jitney vasant dekhe
Utni uski umar hoti hai..?" u r poems are much better in hindi than english keep writing, it will be a collection

Coffeeismypoison the last part of 2nd conversation actually took me off the theme, till then it sounded quite nice.

HummingnerdHumming u r piece was really excellent, but i must say "Sugar-coated" love couldn't penetrate the poem, though i liked it anyway

Truth dude while going through ur poem, i was wondering sugar must be hiddent somewhere, was it inside prince's sheepish smile?

Trapti :) it happens with me when i see dark choclates, did u provide the pic of the sugar cube to Shin? well nice piece

PinchiBeautiful, nice take on sugar, sugar really tasted bad with honey. I think u r new to klash if not u've changed the pseudonyme, offlate we have quite tough words to write about this is one of them, u handled quite nicely

Priyanka Almost, lies the difference between sweet and sugar :), if the last lines are modified slightly he last line the complete take will take a very different turn

Juhi crave for sugar, well described, somehow your fonts were very distracting

Rush.me Reminiscing sweetness? "Honeyed voice perfected with Honeyed Curls, looking at the Honey Eyes" nice use :)

Cauchy Excellent one, liked the analogy a lot also the way u added a meaning to sugar.

The red ronin Too good, someday klashes can be put together into a book, and it struck me when i red yu stanga

Dok Saab :) ur writing shows that u'r here from quite a long time and mastered the art of writing things within 120 word, here also u've done in style.

Mandappa I didnt get why its "Sugar sweet memory" can you please elaborate for me

MickeyHa Ha! pulling Doksaab also Mickey, I am sure he'll allow whatever amount u eat

Nandini The take was really nice, but u've been explicit, I felt if u have used only dadima's line instead of your, this idea would've blossomed more

Mowgli your poem again reminded me that i need more time to understand poems, i am honest couldn't understand many parts of it, sorry

Shinjinii smelt cauchy's Sugar here, nice one Shin, beyond my criticism level :)

So my vote to: Red ronin

Offlate i am findinf Konfessioners are under hostility from unknown people. Someboy calls Hitler, someone sends crazy mails companing the same, i dont know how to deal with it, it good that Klash grows parallely in my opion a set of people stay together for long is a good idea, we have to get rid off these nuisances

Santonu said...

Dear sirs and madams, i wrote the komments in a real hurry and the result is there. It is full of typos and spelling mistakes, please ignore them, and do believe me i was good in english in my high school, after that it was never tested :)

Missy Baba said...

Komments first--- (my vote does not kount this week, as I'm not up for the kompetition. And whoops, thank you GSV I didn't notice that Empress wasn't participating!!!

1. GSV-- what beauty in every visual you have gathered and beaded together like a rich yellow marigold garland...we're proud to be dekorated with your renditions. :).

2.CIMP-- Thank you for participating despite the krazy schedule!!! Okay, you did agree this didn't make much sense but I am still excited about it because it presents the word differently, 2 in 1 sorts... I wish more of us would experiment with the klash. Some time back Blah Kween came up with "Conversation 1: and Conversation 2: " and Santonu has been pretty experimental too, what with the news and now an ad! Lets see what else we can do with the klash... other than the usual prose and poetry..!
Now, CIMP had forgotten the part she wanted to add to her klash, her mother saying that both her grandfathers had "Sugar" aka diabetes! That was a cool idea! Because half of India refers to diabetes as sugar haha... good one! Wish you'd remembered! :)

3. Hummingnerd -- Welkome back!!!!! :) This made me think of the kite runner, though I haven't read the book..just what I figure of it... and the significance of using a "kite" here could pertain to individual dreams and paths crossing and becoming one (as it often does in dreams!)... one grouse, I think the end could have just "cream" and not "a" but that is totally up to you because maybe you meant a particular kind of cream... and like Mandi said... "I look like I was killed in a dream" classic!!!

4. TD--- HAHAHA.. Loved it! And I think sugar wasn't the center of it really but that doesn't matter because if we consider the whole "sugar and spice and all things nice" deal with reference to this lady here, it works! And it reminded me of a wickeder version of Shrek haha.. well done! I look forward to your entries every week :)..! But you know, what would've made this far cooler would've been the use of Gaelic tongue or something...you know Knight Lingo and the works!

5.Trapti--- Welkome again!!! Okay, this I have not done..eat sugar to break my diet plan haha..but good start! The build up to why your hands were clammy and the perspiration and things was good, but some parts could be redone, example---"I looked back and then back again" and I liked the way you referred to the sugar crystals as gems.. maybe you could've worked more on the gem part.. But I especially liked your title! :)

6.Pinchi--- Hmmm.. the part about your soul.. didn't seem to hit a spot. But I'm sure I missed the point..(again!!! uff!! haha) and the bit about the victorious sailor, I'd consider it odd because a victorious sailor would not be keen to explore but would have already explored...the rest of course is nice! :)

7. Santonu-- Very, very kreative! Thoroughly enjoyed it! and I was chuckling like mad imagining Kavish make similar ads while salivating at the images and all haha.. But its so good to have you back!!!:)

8. Priyanka-- Oh!!! Sooooo cute!!! :D Loved the kids.. very very innocent and heart warming, mere toh dil da pancake ban gaya hai haha...great to have you back too!! ;).

9.Juhi the fragrant-- You'd be my winner this week if I was voting! :) What wonderful imagery! and looks like both of us thought of mothers and sweet ol' sugar komfort this week haha.. I am delighted with the visual appeal here of chattering sugar crystals and a sugar stream.. and the tiny details of the rounded up sugar lump...very good writing, very very good! :)

10. Rush.me-- Your use of capital letters implies or makes one think of 'truths' and 'meanings' deeper ones that is, honey and sugar sweltering in a pot of words again! nice! :).

11. Cauchy-- Welkome Doctor number 3!!! I was informed that you're away on assignment and will be back soon, good luck with it! Well, "just sugar" in my "morning coffee", seems like she was important then?! But still a pawn that was an expendable unit..this I could not swallow! Do explain!!!

12. Red Ronin-- You didn't use "sugar" here (unless I missed it?) but this makes me wonder two things.. one, is this sati? two, is this tea! Both ways, I imagine a female kettle and her burning.. and the bit about the "bitter sweet symphony" kills me... stunning stuff.. Can't wait to read your entry this week!.

13.Dok Saab-- Yikes! Totally unlike you...! Now I remember the S&M piece you'd given once on love or kiss or something..! or was it body? I think it was body... but your take is extremely contemporary and I did enjoy it very much indeed. :).

14. Mandappa KC-- I've been listening to Dylan's "Dark Eyes" and "Abandoned love" over and over again for a while now..the harmonica does wonders..and right now, it works very very well with your lil' poem here. "som'more" is well put and liposuction dream..haha.. I have some nice visual dope on that one! All in all, good stuff..! And that she was Mexican!!!

Missy Baba said...

15. Mickey-- I agree with Dok Saab, I think your shanni is bothering you!!! haha.. But don't they have chocolate fountains and that sort of thing in the big bad woods?!!!

16. Nandini-- An absolutely heart warming little post here.. Made me think of dadima and my "You are my sunshine" song! And I remember how much I used to like that Mary Poppin's song.. And I can imagine it being sung with the Bengali accent.. you keep gettin' better!!! :)

17. Mowgli-- Is this about losing your virginity!! because it certainly does sound like that? And very well conceived indeed! Excellent metaphors!

Unknown said...

Konfessioner Singh, I belive the unwritten rules of the klash says that the original trio of Konfessioners can always vote, irrespective of whether they participate or not. This has happened in past. So please !!

Missy Baba said...

@ Santonu-- I think the hostility is funny haha and actually its not their fault..I hadn't expected everyone to send common mails with intros..that obviously must have pissed off many people!! But I think Sagar should've read my 2 emails asking for confirmations to avoid this. But its over anyway!

:).

Phew! Why don't these guys just listen to us :x I mean...anyways...long story and the problem is still not solved. I searched and searched and the problem seems to be in my DMA being turned off. Hope that is it.

So time for komments, sorry for the delay.

GSV bhai - :) Beautiful and loved the ".on" bits :)

CIMP - I feel like dumb..'coz I really didn't get it. Is there a relation between the two conversation.

Truth Dude - hahaha...That was a funny and quick!

Trapti Mishra - I would run...The running proportional to the sugar intake..hahaha..well, thats what I'm doing lately :)

Pinchi - Nice take Arnav. I'm still thinking what else does he expect? Is there more?

Santonu - "Ting Tong"...hahaha..very nice..:)

Priyanka Chakraborty - hahaha..wise..very kreative..If that was written in a hurry then take a bow :)

Juhi the Fragrant - Oye, you are the winner. Congrats. and a very sugary take.

Rush.me - As I said before, if not for the explanation, I wouldn't have understood it. Very nice.

Cauchy - I could so much imagine myself writing the first para... and the end was wonderful, however, some light on the advantage that you were seeking would have been great for the write-up...

The Red Ronin - Wow! this is amazing. This just creates so many images. If you meant to portray all what I'm thinking now then you are a genius. Loved your take.

Dok Saab - hahahaha...awesome...!

Mandappa KC - Nice, very nice..just needs a good tune :)

Mickey the Monkey - Really liked it...I think Jane was too forgiving. Wives are always critical of their hubby's potties...:)

Nandini Sen - Warm...I just wish I had more time to spend with my dadima too :)

Mowgli - This is brilliant stuff. Though, I just couldn't digest the metaphorical sugar.

Konfessioner Singh - Uff! Finally, and I got the end but was too confusing for me...My brains...:|

If having the "word" mentioned once in your take is not in the rule then my vote goes to Red Ronin. else, Dok Saab.

HI!!

Thank you sooooooooo much for ur overwhelming response for my maiden entry. Actually, the 'bowl of sin' was a depiction of my personal struggle every day not to gulp down a few crystals of sugar as they nestle 'tantalizingly' in a pot on my table (along with my coffee) in office!

And I found ALL the entries so unique...i just cudn't vote!

Also, I cudn't figure out how to use my pen name...HEADY CONCOCTION....!!

Thank you once again for the warm welcome :-)

glad you had a laugh guys. in all the writing prowess we have, we sometimes forget to have fun with it.

I think Mickey's klashes are by far the most underrated and funny. And 'funny' is never easy.

Happy Klashing folks!

And I'm still voting for both. Give them half a point each if you have to. :)

@all

for those of you who were wondering wha liposuction dream was---i ahve explained it already... i think once you read that, you'll understand the meaning...
secondly for those who said that they thinkit wasn't needed... it shows how you are apprehensive about a word or judgemental bout a word,w ithout relating it to the context. :P

to the rest, thanks
and oh ya, thirdly- even if i had a tune, i couldnt really pen it now could i???

fourthly: my apologies for not kommenting, somehow i aint ever online on weekends :P

Dear Konfessioner Singh
keeping in view the recent kontroversies , I propose some amendments in the rulebook of the Klash of the Konfessioners.

1) Voting be made mandatory for every one who wants to be a part of this group, whether he has written in that klash or not. By doing this , those klasher who could not take part due to any reason will get involved and take pains to at least read other peoples takes. And every vote be kounted.

2) Komments be optional. Kommenting on 17 - 18 takes is time konsuming, and needs a lot of thinking. We all are in some jobs and may be not find ample time every time. And if we do not komment we feel guilty.

3) The winner sets the word for the second next klash, so we get a word one week before, while we have submitted current take and the process of kommentin and voting is going on, we already have a word.
To begin with this week Shinjini sets the word for next klash, while the winner, Juhi gives the word for the second klash. This way we will have a word in advance.

4) Komments and votes should be made in the same identity as used while klashing

what do you think Shinjini??

Santonu said...

Dok saab, i completely agree with you about the Kommenting, i think its better we make voting mandatory, and komment optional

Unknown said...

Santonu, kommenting for all the takes is becoming difficult now that we have 18 takes, imagine what will happen when we have 30 takes.
And the day is not far when we will have 30 takes, the way we are getting new klashers every week.

Congrats Juhi the fragrant

@Doksaab- completely agree with you sir..:)
@Shinjini- please accept doksaab's recommendation..

"Kompulsary Voting before deadline and optional Kommenting anytime.."

:)

kongrats juhi the fragrant :o)
agar kommenting optional ho gayi toh maybe no one will komment, and then how will we knowww...how abt if kommenting can take longer amt of time than usual...way longer...as long as voting is instant...u getting me?

JuHEE (TanVEE)
BadhayEE.........

i feel agreeing to sweta.........pahle se hi log itna effort kar k Komment karte hai....agar wohi optional ho gayi....toh no fun left....

May be agar Kommenting ke liye jyada time mile..may be we can do it more properly?????

Missy Baba said...

Dok Saab, excellent rekommendations.. I shall konsult with NM and SM asap!

Only thing is, I might require the komrades to at least komment for 1/3 times they participate. Otherwise the kommenting will decrease and become inconsequential!

coffeeismypoison said...

now...pls before nething else jaldi se kon singh give next weeks word as ive to leave for dubai day ater....plssssssssss

Juhi said...

Thank you! Thank you, so very much! Oooooh! I am so thrilled, if any of you could see me right now, you would perceive general chaos, as I jump and whoop...I probably look like Mickey the Monkey right now, I have to confirm with Jane..anyways, I now realize what all those people who receive the Booker or the Pulitzer etc. feel. I' ve got the Purple Crown! Thank you.

I completely agree with Doksaab, but am a bit inclined towards the suggestions of Sweta and Rashmi, about extending the time period that we give ourselves to komment, as to me kommenting is what makes klashing so...so...addictive, fun, enjoyable...add a few more lovely adjectives. Please don't do away with it.

Also, if somebody, anybody could help me out, I would love to klash and komment under identical names. But, my computer...it has a mind of its own.

About the next word, I have thought of one...I hope you like it. Its "Psst.."

Juhi..

Santonu said...

Kommenting is optional doesn't mean we wont komment at all, it just means that if there are 20 klashes u may deceide to komment on may be for 10, may be less. In that case better klashes will get more attention and eventually we'll hv a winner. I have slight doubt that my jingle got so many komments just because it was kompulsary otherwise none would have kommented, so why waste time in going through such klashes, it will motivate the klashers to improve and stay here. If kommenting is made must we will lose klashers which we dont want i guess....

GSV said...

That's true Sir Santonu ! I mean every thing except the Ting Tong..:D..i would i have still commented on your 'biwi paresan'..hahaha.. that was hilarious..:D

richa said...

Princess: a doubt...my vote for GSV was not counted coz i did not write hence could not vote or it was an oversight.

Maybe we can modify Doc sa'ab's suggestion and have komrades commenting on at least 1/3rd or half of the Klash everytime. so if there are 20 entries we comment on either 7 or 10....but making it totally optional is definitely going to make it easier for many to just not komment.

coffeeismypoison said...

wow what r u guys doing up so late?or did u wake up?mam.look,if kommenting becomes optional or halved or one thirded...then not everyone may get kommented upon and evveryone deserves that after putting in such hard work,n effort...i know if no one offered any comments on my takes id feel like it was a bit of a waste and i cud just blog...i dont know if ur getting me but tryyyyyyyy

The Konfessioners said...

Oh wow.. this is kool!! The new ideas are wayyy better! Half the entries, perfect! I shall make kommenting on half of the entries kompulsory and people can vote on everyone too if they like... excellent!

Thanks guys!!! :D

Some Kontroversy u kreated DokkkSaab !!
and it was u who said iKomments are the USP of Klash

One more observation I made, all the boys dont wanna komment and all the Gals want it mandatory. I feel thats a basic psychological difference between you human sexes, gals want appreciation, and boys just want to do it and move ahead.

Since Ms Singh has partially konceeded to this , my adding to the konfusion is not needed, but i feel komments should be kompulsary, even if it means lesser klashes. because if 10 ppl get komments and i am not one of them, well i will get disheartened and may be loose interest in klash.
I strongly suggest every one should get komments even if its just a single word. Many a times I have received just "ha ha monkey !!" as komment, but thats encouragement.

For those who want to get appreciated by taking part but do not have time( or desire) to appreciate other ppls takes, its better you put your take on your blog, I promise i will be there to komment on your blog posts.

ruSh.Me said...

i totally, wholeheartedly agree with Mickey Jee!!!!

Who would like to be left behind the "Other Half"!?!?!?!?

p.s. Psst!, Mickey...its not about appreciation; its about Critique.... ;-)

truthdude said...

yea...komment or opt out! no middle way please.

Juhi said...

I completely agree, with Mickey the Monkey (I love the alliteration this presents), there would be no fun without reading komments for each other's works. This is a very nice way of knowing what others think of the same take, its rather like discussing a book. Its fun.

Mowgli, in the rush and fuss I completely forgot to thank you for the suggestion to read Grace Slick, haven't really heard of her (him?), but will search, once I finish the newest 10 books that line my library shelf vying for my attention. And thank you again for the vote of confidence. "Blush" :)

Boy oh boy.....I was out of circuit for just 4 days (no touch with the net)...and when I come back, I find a plethora of things....angry(weird??) responders to Klash mails, Rules in Klash, Komments halved, but Voting doubled.....:-))
The slow coach that I am, nothing's sunk in........

Anyways, just lemme say what I want to -
Juhi - Kongrats.....and a great word for this week.

Priyanka - Thankks so much for the Vote :-))

All - I loved your komments.......hope I remain in the "kommentable half" always :-))

Shit.....no - I think Komments are a MUST - thats what makes Klash so endearing...as Mickey said, even a word, or a line....c'mon guys dont restrict Kommenting please.

Missy Baba said...

I vote for full komments and full votes... And I am sure that's how it's going to be....but I'll wait for more votes too..with 11 votes FOR full komments...I think we know where this is going!

We missed you Nandini..!! :)
